Also among my faves because… I’ve battled with depression and familial and service-related PTSD for most of my life. I’ll never defeat it, but I’ll never be defeated *by* it, either. One of my mantras has been “it can’t beat me, because it hasn’t beaten me.” I’d already experienced, and survived, the worst that could ever possibly be done to me, from without and within, by others and to myself, and I’m still here; I might never win, but I _will_ never lose. When I first heard the lines “And you know how I know how I know that I'll prosper? 'Cause I stand here beside you today” in Hi Ren, I knew *exactly* what it was…it was my mantra, almost exactly word for word. Make My Way is the the same line, the line in Hi Ren just condenses down and distills it to its purest form

Ah! I have been listening to this while driving from my home in County Cork to Kenmare County Kerry and back over Christmas: a two hour drive each way. This and all the other tracks on Freckled Angels are beautiful. I made myself hoarse trying to sing along. Pure joy! Thank you for this.

Great to see you continue to delve into early Ren - love the hook on this one (shocking the first time I heard it lol). A lot of the songs on this album,bring out the empath in me but knowing the place Ren is at now makes it an easier listen. When you compare the two albums, I swear it is almost impossible to believe they are from the same artist even though they touch on similar themes - that's the real genius of Ren. Ren at something closer to 100% is going to be something to behold. Hope you had a great break.

This is among my favorites. As true as it is that Ren never seems to do the same thing twice, and you never know what you’re going to get next, there are a few tracks that really stand out as big steps down a totally different path. Make My Way is definitely one of those to me (Children of the Moon is another). Ren being Ren, though, everything ties into everything else….i feel a lot of musical influence from Make My Way making its way back into Su!cide

I love this Arty Music Mix and Vocals. Ren is a Genius I ran through Ren's Love Music Album and it was full of Wonderful Music. Try out Ren's Child Like, New York City and Living Room Poetry , Amazing Stuff. There are a Lot of buried Treasures in all His Albums and People Who have Recorded Ren and His Collaborations on the Streets. Lets Hope He gets back to the Streets Soon where He Belongs. The Freckled Angels album is so good. Much as I love all the sick boi stuff and it's excellent, I think FA is actually an album I would be more likely to listen to regularly. That's so true about hearing stuff the more you listen to a song. I've been known to listen to a song and listen to the bass only. lol One in particular is a live version of Crash into me by DMB where the bass is just so good. I'm probably just odd. 😂😂

Sorry didn't know the back story on the twisted cord, that adds a twist for me to contemplate. I hate it when a device refuses to connect and another thing it will connect to with no problem. Makes no sense and in my experience it's the most expensive thing like my hearing aids 4 thousand bucks and won't connect most of the time and a $30 pair of cheapo earbuds connects every single time and the music sounds way better.
