I truly believe there are very few human beings that actually listen to Ren that don’t fall in love with Ren. His talent is limitless, and he has spent many years honing his skills. Ren is a stunningly beautiful person both inside and out. He has so much to teach. Besides, it’s already in most of us. 😉❤️✌️

What's brilliant is that Jenny and Screech's tales were written after seeing a newspaper article, Violet's tale was written two years latter. Also how the kids followed their parents traits Jenny was quiet and just stood still like Violet and Screech was violent like his father.

His writing is poetry, his composition encompasses so many genres, his rapping is spot on, his singing is great, his guitar playing is amazing, his theatrics help tell the story, and his production and use of his environment is mindwarping.

The black gloves Ren wears at the beginning contribute to the cold feeling of the scene. And, to me, he especially seems like a troubadour when he directs his posture and voice upwards to the upper levels of the buildings (and whatever people might be inside). We viewers WANT to see reactors tearing up and feeling as intensely as we originally did... and still do. Thank you for your perceptive and powerful reaction, Jenna.

No matter how many times I watch this performance(?) I tear up at the end of all 3 stories. Jenny and Screech born on the same night out of violence, and 14 short years later died on the same night out of violence. Soooo tragic! Their story soooo well told by the amazing troubadour Ren. Great reaction btw!
@TheDomLouis
@TheDomLouis Күн бұрын
The thing that a lot of reactors miss is asking what was Jenny doing walking the streets at 14 years old in "high heels" at some ungodly hour, looking for an escape 🤔? There's also a possible suggestion that his friend, who didn't answer the knocks at the door, was actually at Screech's girlfriend's house, hence why she's "busy". Lastly Jenny and Screech died in streets that were parallel to each and then Ren point out "twins lying side by side", just after they were born. Also parallel. There are so many levels going on! But that's what we're all on the Ren journey for 😊

I loved your reaction it was so genuine and heartfelt, I wanted to give you a hug 🤗 at the end lol! Ren is a master storyteller but sadly two kids separated at birth due to the mother dying and the father locked up for killing her is all too common. The real sad part for me is the kids were only 14, the song was written in 2019 in Violet’s tale it set in two zero zero five 2005 14yrs previous. The inference with Jenny walking that street is that she was a prostitute! This is why Screech would have known she had money “give me all your money bitch”. He would however never have known Jenny was his sister as they would have been separated into social care. It’s a brilliant if tragic story. On a side note Ren was in school with my daughter, it’s been clear for a long time he would eventually get global recognition.

It is a tragic story, Jenny takes on the traits of her mum, cant speak stays frozen, Screech takes on the traits of his violent father, so much truth in this. Apparently based on a true story, Ren builds on it and provides a classic twist at the end. Ren did a live stream today with 5 of his most supportive reactors where he discusses actively placing that twist at the end to see how much he could shock. He does watch many of these reactions btw, and has been known to drop into the comments from time to time. Nice reaction, we did warn you.. 😎 That live stream is well worth a view and gives an insight into how humble and down to earth he is. It depends on what you mean by a true story. What is said to have happened is that Ren read a report about a 14 year old school boy who was stabbed to death. From this tragic incident Ren built the three tales. It’s astonishing to me who people with beige minds and a lack of creativity themselves try to belittle REN’s ability by in effect saying this story was written for him. Without a shadow of doubt it is a utterly brilliant body of work, creative, clever, ingenious etc… but crying at it is rather like crying when Bambi gets shot or at a Star Wars movie or Kenny Roger’s “ you chose a fine time to leave me Lucille” It is a brilliant work of fiction performed by a master musician and song writer at the zenith of his abilities.

I doubt that anyone would say they 'enjoyed' Violets Tale, but virtually everyone would have complete admiration for the writing and performance. Ren showed Screech as inheriting his father Stevie's violent temper, while Jenny was the innocent one, like her mother... then to bring them together to violently close a lifetime circle not knowing who the other one was was pure genius...... It's a movie in waiting!

New to the channel. New sub. If you haven't heard him busking, esp w The Big Push, please do. He is absolutely tearing apart the industry with being an independent artist who claimed #1 on the UK charts while dealing with all the things... we bitch and moan about mental health every time there is a damn violent event but then don't want to talk about it. F it. He is going good work. BUT... don't neglect his playful side. I shot the sheriff... war pigs... and englishman in new york.. .his collabs with chinchilla... this man is SO grateful for reactors and has a life energy vibe that is fresh... he is just willing to also address what normally get packaged away and slid into closets or basements. Thank you for your genuine, heartfelt reaction and your thoughtful analysis/commentary. This trilogy is another example of Ren's genius and a master's class in storytelling; he truly is a modern-day bard. I heard it likened to a Shakespearean tragedy many times. Ren created a backstory on the characters involved on Instagram, hinting that Patrick wasn't home because he was with Screech's girlfriend when Screech called her. This is a masterpiece of a tragedy. I would also recommend you check out Ren's collaborations with Chinchilla, "Chalk Outlines," "How to Be Me," and their busking sessions in Brighton. As for "Chalk Outlines," it is one of my favorite songs right now; it is beautiful yet sad and really showcases Ren's beautiful singing voice. Looking forward to more Ren reactions from you. I swear to gawd when Jenny is walking down that dark street, Ren hears her footsteps, feels the bitter cold in her bones, the fear that keeps her still. When he's wailing in the dark, he feels the confusion and anger in Screech, the hopelessness when he can't find a place or a friend to comfort him. When Ren is looking at the bed in Violet's Tale, he sees her. As real as I see Ren sitting there. When he looks over to where the monitors would be, I swear he hears the beeps, and sees the irratic trail of a weak heartbeat moving across the tiny screen. He sells it so well. Absolutely brilliant storytelling.

It's tragic, and it's sad, and Ren's a brillilant storyteller - but I think part of why this trilogy hits *so* damn hard, for so many of us, is deep down we know *this shit happens*. It's real. And so many of us kind of want to not-think-about-it. Part of Ren's brilliance is his ability to "pinch our eyelids and fold them up", and pull us up short about our own...complacency? It almost felt more like a very dark story with some musical accompaniment rather than what I'd normally classify as a song. It was certainly very powerful, but not at all what I was expecting. The music was quite bare and stripped back at times, but that was very effective at getting the message across. I liked the use of stops and silence, and the stark contrasts in the voice with the character changes. I also got the same type of bardcore/medieval vibes as you with the guitar sound at times, and that is actually quite fascinating in terms of how it sounded and what sort of story that was chosen to be paired with.

Love your reaction! As a 67 year old grandfather my first thought was to give you a big hug at the end of this trilogy. Your insight and honest vulnerability to Ren's amazing lyrics are truly heart felt. Thank you, Jenna!❤

Very cool reaction :) ive been following Ren's music for a while now. The two ways i have explained his music are #1 an emotional rollercoaster and #2 a work of art.

Ive listened to so many reactions.... but everytime you listen you pick up something new everytime. Pieces like jenny walking the streets 1000 times before at 14, rosey cheeks and high heel shoes can lead you to believe she has been thrown out of childhood and into a sad situation. Knowing mom is dead dad is probably in jail, they would have been seperated at birth thru foster care of some sort. Growing into their perspective parents and then meeting maybe for the forst and last time. Violets tale shows all of it and was the glue to tell the entire story. History of violence, assault and misery keeps repeating.

That was such a genuine reaction. "I didn't like Violet's Tale..." and then going into breaking down the lyrics of it. It sounds so morbid to even comment but the fact that it hit you the same way it hit "us" who watched it for the first time where we had to choke down emotions while trying to understand what a musician he is at the same time was great. I mean that in the best way. I felt demolished as well. That's the power of Ren, he makes you feel and it's for sure not always comfortable. Unbelievable storyteller

He doesnt belong to a specific genre or style cause he can literally (no joke) do all of them and quite well... but these tales are in his signature style "Bardcore" and we/I love it!!!!! ❤❤❤

Outstanding reaction to this heart-wrenching story. I wanted to sed a hug your way because I was tearing up as well. Ren makes the age-old human experience of violence and domestic abuse get REAL.... even for those who may not have experienced it directly. Ren is a consummate artist. And YOU are a really good reactor! I first saw you with "Hi Ren," and liked subscribed then. This is the first evening I have ventured beyond. I was actually a little nervous. I listened to the thing with his antagonist (King Dotta), but that wasn't a deep dive into humanity. This was. Anyway... you're great! You are one of the few that are really good at connecting with people on a platform that is often impersonal. Keep doing your thing!
