It's funny how the Americans react to the gun. The gun was actually "decommissioned". (didn't work). In the BTS there's even a clip where they had to get glue to attach a piece that kept falling off. Apparently even trying to get a gun that doesn't work in the UK is problematic and it was a bit of an undertaking to find a 45. Ren did say something that makes me chuckle. After the shoot, driving away from the warehouse he had a moment of awareness that they were driving in a van with the fake gun and fake drugs.

That's hilarious! Also, it's good to always demonstrate proper gun handling. I've used firearms for decades and it's easy to spot a person handling them unsafely is all.

It was great watching you react to this series. Ren composed all the original music, strings etc., and co directed. This series gets everyone talking. It has also won a couple of awards this year so far.

To ease your mind... i guarantee he racked the chamber before the video and the clip loaded was empty... a bit of sleight off hand under the camera angle... The disregard for trigger safety and flagging the camera was intentional to build the tension, as was the deliberate pacing before loading the clip [which wasnt loaded]. Also... your summation of how it links to MG1 was spot on imo.

The brilliance knows no bounds when you hear ren in an interview with Knox hill describing how he wrote the dad in this story to be the personification of the American Dream. Still gives me chills.

I absolutely love this trilogy. This was Ren & Sam’s most ambitious one take to date, although there is one cut when the camera goes behind the wheelchair. They had to move the mic from the lapel of his suit, waterproof and put it on the tie. They then only had 1 chance to get the shot as Ren didn’t have another suit and no time to let it dry. They don’t have huge budgets for the videos they make. There is an awesome bts video on how this was made. Don’t say “hate to say that’s my son” I’m sure you’re very proud of him. The difference is how we raise our children, Jimmy was always looking for his father’s approval like you said even after he died. The whole gun safety thing - Ren was portraying someone who was desperate and on the edge of committing suicide so was frantic. It’s the way it is when someone feels like that and I think it’s a conversation starter in my opinion. The masks that they have on their heads are actually old style money bags when they were made out of hessian bags and tied with rope. Definitely get the earring life is too short and at the end of the day you can always take it out.

Ren is very good at making us think about how things really work in this world Before releasing this one he set up 7 days of riddles codes and puzzles All around the theme of 7 sins The coding part was made by his friend who works in security at high levels they were near impossible Ren put in clues from art, literature and scripture He encouraged all his fans to group together and share each others skills and talents All to get one person through to the last challenges and cash prize It was a crazy amazing experience from what I obseved There was more but you will have to search out the livestream to see the final part This was a teaching exercise to illustrate how unified people working together can solve any problem we might be faced with People made real connections and were inspired by the whole thing Ren was so into it he forgot he was launching a single and album He made some more points about money after the final. You remind me a little of Tigger , so But can't knock joy and peace they are essentials

@@kathleenwincott5581The amount of takes for MG1 isn't clear. Sam said one number, Ren another. Somewhere between 130-180. Either way, it doesn't really matter does it? It's a lot. This one was done in one day.

21:38 - there was a malfunction in the sprinkler system here. Look at the viola player on the extreme left (as we look at it). She moves her bow. And then a few seconds later we can see water on the floor near her. That wasn't supposed to happen. The water wasn't supposed tot be near the string section. The voila player moved her bow away from the water but it was too late. Ren thanked her for sitting through it and paid to get her viola and bow re-stringed.

You should check out Ren - Eden it was released right before this as the end to a game Ren designed to show how people can work in a collective to solve problems. Showing the importance of working with each other instead of against each other like the government wants.

The bags on their heads are money bags the kind of bags in which money used to be transported from bank to bank ,they allow some vision but distorts our view of life . In M.G.1 the guitarist was us( those confused and obedient to the game ) and the manipulator played by Ren, who could not controle them once they had ( eyes) vision. In M.G. 2 Ren showed us the actual game and how to win if we didn't mind being a "lies a cheat a devil a whore " . In 3 he shows what it takes to win and what being a success ,defined by money only ,really gets you ,its a very hollow victory . In the scheme of Jimmy's life there is no mention of women except the one he paid. No loving mother , no loving wife or child . I think the point is without love and caring people around you ,money and power aren't worth much and we consume and consume to fill a hole that should have been filled by quality human interaction but we can't see that while we have those view distorting money bags on our heads . We have to free ourselves from the game to save ourselves and our communities. It shouldn't be so hard to do so because because ,if you ask the average person ,they don't really believe in the values consumerism ( represented by the bad dad ) teaches us . Love your reactions to Ren's music. Hope to see your reaction to his Troubles. Anyway...I got my first tat when I was 50 years old, the second one larger a couple years later, on my forearm. I love it. Oh and your son sounds like my son. Mine is now a tutor helping school kids learn more of the complicated and higher mathematics & sciences, also high I.Q.. My husband was a coder or I will say a computer programmer, had been for years, but now he and I are retired. Instead of Ren singing rain rain rain.... he does it one better. This Money Game won awards for Ren and Samuel.

I like how the ending is ambiguous, the gun doesn't fire, it clicks, so did Jimmy take the "easy way out"? or is the click an indication of an idea going of in his mind, all that money and fame could do so much good if put to the right use. The story seems hopeless but I think there is hope in there is you look closer.

20:19 At this point there were 2 cuts. 1 was right at the start when Ren took his jacket off in the mirror. The second was at 17:48 in this video when the camera went behind the wheel cheer. And if i remember right they were the only 2 cuts. Officially, Ren said there was only 1 cut - when the camera went behind the wheel chair - but it's obvious that there was a cut at the beginning when Ren took off his jacket at the mirror scene. Not sure why he didn't acknowledge that cut.

It’s only with talking to my therapist that’s made me realise that’s what she’s doing. It’s tough cos I’m dealing with other past abuse too BUT….I am determined to deal with it and hopefully I’ll be a stronger person for it💪🏼 Hope you have a lovely evening! I believe he was making the point that money can’t set you free of depression and mental illness and things like that it doesn’t matter how much you’ve got all humans have the same struggles. When you don’t have a lot, you see people who are rich and you think if I only had money I wouldn’t be so upset depressed angry etc but it’s not the truth. I believe that’s the point that was trying to be made here.
