I love Murderer original. Then Ren does the acoustic version and turns it into something that provides you with a very different emotional response. It was just freaky to watch this when it came out and now it is one of my most favorite.

I'm always amazed at how ability to remake his own songs. Playing a Dre beat in the middle of his own song while rapping words from his own song in the same rhythm is just bonkers. It must be so difficult but worked so well as a tribute to the LA cityscape behind them.

The acoustics are probably closer to how the song was created. He said in an interview that the beat comes first in his head, then he just waits for the words to appear which seem to come out of nowhere. When filming, he never worries about forgetting the lyrics bcz he has practiced it in his head so many times it's second nature.
