This still makes me tear up, no matter how much I watch it. Never have I been so invested in an artist as I am with Ren. He's the very definition of courage & resilience. You show the same level of openness & vulnerability as Ren - thank you for doing the Chapters. Just a heads up Chapter 6 is a bit challenging, but still worth watching.

The movie clip was from 28 days later, which stars Cillian Murphy who also plays the main character Thomas Shelby from Peaky blinders, people are always saying Ren looks like him when they watch Hi Ren 👍

‘For Joe’ - the song which got me back into playing piano for the first time in 20 years. There was no sheet music available at the time, so I really had to hone my listening skills to eventually create my own sheet music for the piano. There’s a part in the middle that nearly killed me though. Oh the hours I spent trying to get that bit right.. and fast enough. Sheeesh. 27:24 THIS BIT KILLED ME.

It’s like Joe’s purpose on earth was to show Ren what not to do so as to save him for a higher purpose.
@KittyInTheGarden14 сағат бұрын
I don't think that's fair. Joe was his own person with his own story. Nobody's purpose is to die in this way. It is always a tragedy. The fact that Ren managed to make something so positive out of his own grief doesn't change that.
@AnotherFacelessDigitalNoOneСағат бұрын
I understand the sentiment... but I don't like the idea that we're pawns for someone else's progress. I'm am quite sure that Ren would have his friend back over any of his success ❤💔💔💙🖤

Ren is accepting he might have that autoimmunity fir lufe and he still has Lyme and co infections. So a year and half 5 days a week treatment didn't save him from a scary relapse. Glad you are still here. Your son is lucky to have you.

28:29 This bit is a continuation of one of Ren’s earliest tracks called ‘Freckled Angels’. There’s a live video of Ren performing Freckled Angels 13 years ago.. he was such a baby (well, 20.. he’s 34 now). It’s in the spreadsheet so you’ll get to it eventually.

Thanks for sharing your feelings so honestly and connecting with Ren and his stories. You have a few choices of going deeper or going lighter. If you want to have a new favorite rap song, LOSING IT, became my favorite. It's fun and it's like really the best. Lots of good reasons to love it. I'm sure you'll get some help with what you're going through. I hope your son gets a chance to see this video and recognized how much love you have for him and that you're a great example of how to persevere, continue, and carry on when it's dark. There's moments of brightness that lead to moments of Savior.
