Not only is the digital version of his CD only $4.99 (the cheapest that was allowed) in a live he said "if you can't afford $5, PLEASE pirate it!" (also, he's 2nd in the charts for the new album, to The Rolling Stones' new album). He just wants people to listen/have access to his music. He's also said that he will keep allowing reactors to be monetized because it doesn't take anything away from him, it really only helps EVERYONE. His heart is in the right place, and it's a breath of fresh air from the "selfish" world we live in.

It's $11.99 on iTunes here in Australia (about $7.70 US), but still worth it of course!

I think when, like Ren, you have to face your mortality... and you decide to live regardless of the pain or suffering (in part for those around you) you begin to understand you can withstand anything. You make peace with yourself and accept your flaws, you stop worrying about the little things and you become... large, ferocious and magnificent. If Ren isn't the real deal I don't want to know. I need to believe there are people like this out there.

Thanks for reacting to this! It was such a beautiful speech and showed Ren's amazing heart ❤. He is constantly promoting his friends (Sam, Vik, Joe for example) and giving them their chance to shine. And his support for reactors is fantastic! Great conversation!

I love watching reactions to this video. This one was really good. Ren definitely knows his truth and speaks about it honestly and with confidence. I had never watched reaction videos before discovering Ren and that discovery took a very meandering route starting with the Foo Fighters’ Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts last year. Those concerts introduced me to Justin Hawkins (of The Darkness) and I subscribed to his KZbin channel in the fall of 2022. (Up to that point, I had only watched KZbin for “how to” videos. 😁) On January 15, 2023 (a date etched in my mind), Justin introduced me to Ren and I’ve been captivated ever since. Jesse, you still have a enormous amount of Ren songs to do. I know that someone has created a Ren YT playlist that was up to 399 videos the last time I looked (Ren, The Big Push, Trick The Fox, busking, etc.) You mentioned your own journey with depression - Ren wrote a song called Depression. It might interest you.

I love that you decided to react to this! Though he may feel conflicted about his personal balance between the light and dark, to his listeners, his beautiful soul shines through. I had never watched a reaction video before Ren, but I am obsessed by his music (in a good way) and I love that I can help support others in this way as well. I love that Ren acknowledges all the parts of himself and has an honest desire to make things better.

Ren himself has been witness to the incredible empathy embodied by his fellow sufferers. He blogs about it in his Lyme101 Facebook blog from 2013 through his stem cell treatments. He promised to not lose that empathy when he came out on the other side. He honors all those who shared his journey.

Ren is an inspiration. I love Ren for showing that being open and honest with others about your own mental health/pain/trauma/etc doesn't have to be scary and there are people that will support and love you for being genuine. I also believe that Ren has been consistent in his character and standards and it shows that this is not someone trying to find a way to get attention. He is humble, empathetic, and caring. ❤❤❤ Love the reaction and the conversation that Ren's video has inspired.

He would comment nice things on their reviews and they had their own original content. He would actually take the time to wash it and comment on it and say something he liked about one of their songs or something, etc. so I don’t think it was like begging them. I think it was being classy and respectful, and he’s an awesome artist so he’s obviously busy and has an illness and making shit loads of music and taking his time to watch someone’s video that has like 2000 followers and comment and subscribe so that right there says a lot about him. Also, I know some of the bigger reactors he gave them early access and he waved whatever it is that you waived that they can get paid off of your stuff. I don’t know what exactly having KZbin monetarily commission works, but he did something to that effect for his big supporters. He has even commented on one of my comments on a reaction and I’m a nobody but to him my comment meant something’. So my point is that only does he have extreme talent and impeccable work ethic he has a huge heart and he works tirelessly and he’s so authentic that he wants to help everyone around him that is infectious. You gotta watch him react to Harry Mack’s freestyle rap about him while he’s in a pool I. Vegas celebrating his album hitting number one
