Listen to him saying sick boi you were bit by a tick boi. Ren was misdiagnosed and had lime desease. I was misdiagonosed as well and learned I have cronic anxiety and sever panic disorder. I was in hell and thought I was going to die every night for months. How Ren did it for ten years breaks my heart but want to support even the songs I dont like because he needs to be heard regardless.

Ren loves double entendres, I love trying to pick them out. "Losing patience with the system" can also mean The system is literally loosing Patients by misdiagnosing them, The irony of "bitten by a tick boy" saying we consume and destroy like we are parasitic" = we are parasi-TICK, we are the ticks. Ren is a genius and sometimes its very subtle.

Thank you for caring! A couple days ago, I realized that, for all Ren's gifts to the world, one of the best is his fan community. From what I've seen, it's the nicest, kindest, most compassionate community out there, because we understand pain and all we want is to alleviate it when we can. And your eye makeup looks great. I've only ever worn makeup when I was bored, and if people can't deal with that, they can bite me.

My son is 28. He has been sick since he was 4 years old. He told therapists, doctors, psychiatrists that something was physically wrong with him over and over. We have spent well over 100,000. We sold wedding rings and furniture for specific dr appointments, we have no savings. We have been laughed at, smirked at and dismissed by PROFESSIONALS. At 28 we finally have a (very expensive) dr that agrees there is something physically wrong. We are terrified to hope again but starting anew now. REN gets it. I have been obsessively listening to him since I discovered him about two weeks ago. It feels amazing to feel less alone. My son ALWAYS has.

I have been going down his discography and have found some of the most hauntingly beautiful music. Some will tear your heart out and hand it back to you. Be prepared... HI REN was a easy one as hard as it was. His song "Crutch" would be one I would recommend. Just make sure you are in a good mind frame before you watch it. It's really tough to see him in that state and it's even more infuriating knowing how "they" did him and what he was going through at some point. I see him now and am always amazed how he has such a good heart and pure spirit still. Catch ya on the next one! Peace and love always until there is no more!😊❤

Thanks for your reaction, I hope to see more Ren here soon!

Really enjoyed your reaction, and your willingness to share your perspective...and for de-shaming folks who need to use medication. A little over a decade ago, I went though a psychotic breakdown and was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder (schizophrenia with with a bipolar disorder...in my case, severe and chronic depression), which in reality, was Complex PTSD that had gone unaddressed for far too many years. I was very fortunate in recovering completely from psychosis, but was on so many medications for a long time, and while they helped, they also flat-lined me completely and caused plenty of other negative side effects to my body, mind and person. I also struggled so much with the shame around taking medications, and the constant battle of the compromise that comes with these choices. But eventually I realized that what mattered was my quality of life in that moment, and that as long as it was taking me forward, it was okay. Sometime later when I was actively involved in the addictions and mental health community, I was asked to sit in and speak with a group of young women who were experiencing psychosis. By this time, I had recovered fully and was medication free (despite the fact that psychiatric professionals had told me that I should accept the fact that I'd be on medications for the rest of my life). They did, however, set one condition - that I was not to share that part of my story with the participants in the group. I do not have the words to express what I felt in that moment (rage and deep sadness for sure), but I chose to stick it out. I agreed that I would not put that part of my story forward, but if someone were to ask me anything directly, that I would do so honestly. But the fact that they were asking me not share hope with these young women, made all my feelings about the system even worse. I understood their reasoning; because medications can be vital to not only one's recovery, but even just surviving psychosis. And many people in early psychosis feel like I did - that the medications you are being asked to take (or in my case, there was no choice because I was involuntarily institutionalized) are your punishment for being 'crazy'. What hurt, was fact that they would deny these women the opportunity to hear a story of hope and full recovery. It still saddens and angers me a decade later. This was an embarrassingly long ramble, and I sincerely apologize. In my way too many words, I'm just wanting to thank you for letting people know it's okay to do their best to care for themselves, and to know that it's not going to look the same for everyone. It's your health, your mind, body and spirit. And these decisions are never easy. May we all find healing in this life, and continue to raise one another up - leaving no one behind.

Chinchilla is an absolute Queen, love her, you should 100% check out another one of our National Treasures- RAYE She won Album of the Year at the Brit Awards 2024, along with 5 other awards, in other words she won 6/7 and broke records. She is the only female artist to either win the best songwriter of the year or possibly since the 70's, either way she is worth reacting to and I think I can safely say you'll love her. She also had a bad time being signed to a record label, got taken advantage off and went through a lot emotionally, only to come back a strong independent artists that is kicking arse. How does one even go about the remainder of days knowing your time is limited.. ? I chased my dream to make it somewhere musically. I released some songs on big labels and even got a single released on my biggest Idol's label. But that can't just be it... I have been maintaining since diagnosis but all I do is suffer.. Music is my therapy, I have some of my stuff here on YT. I can relate to the majority of you in this community that you talked about, and I am appreciative for that! Avril Lavigne had a hard time getting diagnosed with lyme disease. She suffered a ton, went on tv and cried as she described that doctors were telling her it was all in her head. As far as society: Society = People. People without a good upbringing, without morals, without love and goodness, are sick. Sick people = sick society. My point is society isn't something separate from you and me. We go out everyday and create society. Will we make life better or harder for others? Better to me means helping them live to the best in themselves. If they are racist or lie, or steal, call them out, and demand the same from yourself. Let's make ourselves better together as nicely as possible, but sometimes it takes tough love.

This is the 2nd release from his upcoming album. The 3rd and latest is Illest of Our Time, which is also 🔥 But if you have your tissues handy, definitely pull up The Tale of Jenny & Screech (full). It's a trilogy of tragedy from the streets of London as told by a modern day bard. He does it all, here, with three 1-take videos that show off his singing, guitar playing, and most of all, his ability to tell a story. For lighter fare, though some are still heavy about his situation, he's got a whole host of hiphop/rap tracks that are all well worth the listen: > Losing It > The Hunger > Power > Genesis > What You Want > Bittersweet Symphony > Right Here, Right Now And for something completely different, try Children of the Moon. ~ Peace 🕊

Ren triggers deep emotions and is building a strong community. That’s the power of music. I’m glad that you feel comfortable showing emotion and sharing how the music impacts you. As you commented, it took Ren years to get medical professionals to actually listen to him and look at his complete medical record, rather than just focusing on treatment for symptoms and prescribing drugs that only made things worse 😿 I’m glad he’s finally on a road to recovery and working with someone looking at things holistically. I’m sure writing this music has been cathartic and therapeutic for him. I agree with other recommendations to react to the Tales of Jenny and Screech (full version which also includes Violet’s Tale). But be prepared, it’s another intense ride. It’s essentially a one person 3-act play filmed again live by his buddy Samuel. It’s epic 🔥

The pig character (imo) represents the doctors and therapist who have essentially butchered him for years through their misdiagnosis. It's the system that focuses on peddling more pills than on genuinely trying to help to fix broken/ill people, caring more about profit than individual health. The bastardization of the hippocratic oath. He literally thought he was going insane because he was told repeatedly that the pain and symptoms he was experiencing were all in his head (psychosomatic). He had reached a point where he literally resigned himself to dying before he reached 30. Turns out he had Lyme's disease the whole time and it ran rampant through his system for 10 years, even to the point of causing brain damage. Ironically, if Ren hadn't gone through what he has, would he have ever made the art he has? There's no question that his suffering has shaped his music and now he's finally getting the recognition he undoubtedly deserves. I've said it before, I'll say it again, Ren is special. The Ren rabbit hole is a trip worth taking.
