This exactly. I was a hyperactive martial artist, runner, cyclist etc before I got long COVID (which triggered fibromyalgia). I still have a very "healthy" looking body but it just means people refuse to give up the priority seats on the trains until I literally collapse 🥴 The first thing everyone says when they learn I'm ill is "you look great though" as if that means I'm not in pain 24/7.

What you are seeing regarding Ren's physical condition is primarily a difference in the Kitchen, not in Exercise. He does exercise, when he can, but his diet is pretty limited. And he needs to try and get good sleep so his body can do the fighting it has to do. So, in other words... exercise when you can, eat carefully, and sleep a lot. Ren IS sick. He is literally fighting his disease through diet, exercise, sleep, and modern medicine. Most of us aren't sick like he is, so we don't have to be as careful. Basically, if you couldn't sit in a chair because it hurt too much and the pain lessened when you moved around, you'd become less stationary. It's not as much of a lifestyle choice then, it's a choice of necessity. Ren's made some choices of necessity so he can keep pursuing his health and his career.

This one speaks loudly to me (as most of Ren's do). I have chronic pain from multiple joints and autoimmune conditions. I've found myself rocking A lot today - it's also my coping mechanism when my pain level is high. Sometimes the slaughterhouse is the constant poking and prodding of the medical field and other times, it's the very body you survive in. Tartaros is the deepest part of the Underworld and Gaia is the goddess of Mother Earth if I remember right.

Ren had been working out for awhile last year or earlier this year at a gym, lifting weights. He was looking good, but he was working so hard on his music and then feeling ill again he had to cut back, I would assume he must have cut back on the weightlifting. He was pretty ripped but not muscle bound or anything like that. There is a video of him working out somewhere on Ren pages.
