As a serious mental health sufferer there's a line in this masterpiece that answers the title.chinchilla says take a pill and the feeling goes and walk around the chalk outline,basically the drugs make you dead inside so even though your physically alive you are in essence completely dead and numb

Ren spent so long being misdiagnosed and trying to cope with his illness, that it felt like he was walking around with a signal of his own death following him. That’s how I interpret it, that and the immediate feeling of being in a space where you’ve lost yourself like you say, and you can view yourself outside your body, like you saw yourself as the victim of the crime scene. Just the day to day of being medicated and how jagged the path from illness to wellness can be. Thanks for this, I was interested to see how Asia felt about Chinchilla as a female vocalist. I think she’s really great. Check out her solo stuff; it’s as loud and colorful as Ren is NOT, but just as savage. (I’d start with Fingers).
@GregDaniel78 Жыл бұрын
Certain artists have this uncanny ability to draw from their heartaches, struggles and pain and show it in their art. And damn Ren has had more than his fair share and it changes the character of his voice. Without knowing any of his backstory you could tell he's young (well much younger than me) but he's been through it. and no matter how tough the subject matter gets, you take hope from the fact he's still able to perform.

I could be way off but from my personal experience, the chalk outlines are the part we kill with the next prescription they say you need, and then that pill needs another and kills another part of you.
