This always give me chills. They are just perfection together. Yes, they all performed other songs too. Dimash sang Olimpico & Know among others & he & Aida sang a duet together. Lara also performed individually. Andrea Bocelli (not sure I spelt that right!) also performed. There is footage of Dimash & Andrea backstage, chatting & singing together. I just loved the look between Igor & the conductor at the end of this one, like 2 proud dads! 😊 Thank you 😊🙏💞

Thank you for your sincere reaction, Ken. Thank you for being a Dear. Dimash need all of us Dears' support. This was a birthday celebration for Igor. Igor loves ice skating, so he has the skaters and invited a lot of his favorite singers to his birthday event. Dimash sang a handful of songs, all composed by Igor, of course. Whenever you see Igor at the piano, he wrote the song. This song was the finale. Love the melody of this song. When the intro started playing, it just melted in my ears. So smooth and so warm. True, if you close your eye and it's only Dimash singing, depending on the song, you would probably guess that there are at least 3-4 different people singing that song, but it's only Dimash. Take Olympico, for example, when he open his mouth and the first note came out, you seriously do not expect that kind of low baritone rich voice coming out of a tall slim guy like Dimash, and then later on in that same song, he brought out his hidden female soprano voice and your mind just got blown up. Whenever Dimash is doing a duet or in this case a trio with other artists, he was always respectful and very mindful, that he doesn't overpower them. He is so thoroughly trained that he can flawlessly match and harmonize with anyone. More Dimash, please. Dear from PA, USA

💥 FAVORITE LARA AND DIMASH STORY Igor having mentored Lara years earlier loves to tell about wanting them to meet. We're all at the same event and unbeknownst to me, Dimash has had a huge fan crush on her for years. Dimash sitting next to him, smiling, nodding. Here I am walking with this tall, elegant man in evening dress, heads turning as we pass, we get 10 feet from Lara, he trips over his own feet, arms flailing everywhere, she grabs him to steady him, he sticks out his arm and said Hullo ! Let me give you some info on this incredible trio and event: • Igor Krutoy, the pianist, is there as an overall lead because the event is built for him: this is his birthday event that he organized with all his favorite artists, the ones that he is used to collaborate with and the songs he has composed. Igor is considered as the godfather of the russian music scene, a bigger equivalent for Russia of David Foster for North America. • This is not the first time that Lara sings this song (composed by Igor) in trio but the third time: she performed in the original version with Dmitri Hvorostovsky and Alina Yaroyava then again later with Dmitriy and Sumi Jo, before this new trio with Dimash and Aida. The song was composed from day one with her voice in mind. She has been collaborating with Igor for more than 10 years, they co-created many songs together and he has told from her that she is “the best singer and the best songwriter he has ever worked with” • This also explains why the song does not expose more of Dimash’s upper register: it was written for the late Dmitri who was a pure baryton. • Lara was very very sick that day, with fever and strong medication but she is skilled enough to have made it unnoticeable • Also, like Dimash, and even if the song was composed that way with her in mind, Lara does not sing in her real « comfort zone »: she is, as Aida, a lyrical soprano but here she plays the role in the trio of a mezzo-soprano and takes the median register. It requires a lot of voice control to not interfere with Aida’s high note and does not allow her to really shine. She gives room to Aida to do it instead and Aida uses this magnificently. • It was the first time Dimash met his idol Lara (he is a fan since he is a child and he covered several of her songs such as Adagio, Love of Tired Swans, Mademoiselle Hyde, Know, … / she influenced him a lot on the way he performs and builds his songs) : look how quickly he turned to her, despite he has not finished his duo section with Aida 😂 And how he looks at her and hold her after it … • Lara is the most comfortable in italian because it is her first native language even before french: her mother is italian and while born in Belgium she spent her first 7 years in sicilia before returning there. She also is married to a sicilian man • Look how dimash slightly adapted his vibrato to better match Aida or Lara • Also there is a debate about the final note, held for such a long time, with the conductor looking at Igor and Igor smiling: Did they make a prank to the singers by extending this last note? Or did the singers instead played with them? I personnally think this is more option 1 😀 • I forgot to add that Lara has been classically trained for more than 10 years at Brussels Royal Conservatory and still continues to receive voice lessons on a daily basis. And she has sung many times opera pieces or with opera singers. • Final note to say that Lara Fabian wrote the lyrics of the song Your Love for Dimash

❗ FUNNY STORY. Lara, in an interview about this said during rehearsal Aida looked over and said If I have to run out for something he can sing my part .. and promptly burst out laughing ! They all laughed uproariously and couldn't get it together. Deep breaths, start, one would look at the other and burst out. She said Aida blinking her eyes like a crazy person looking everywhere but at Dimash, choked and snorted her note through her nose, Igor was pounding on the piano lid in hysterics and she was hanging off Dimash's 'arm in the same shape ! Dimash and Aida sang "Ulisse" another Italian composition from Igor and is spectacular. Dimash also sang 3 songs solo in this concert, Olimpico, Passione, Know. More information on Lara Fabian: Lara is recognized as one of the best vocalist ever seen on earth and all professionals list her in the top vocalist tier with Barbra, Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Aretha, Shirley Bassey, Lisa Fischer, .... In my personal opinion, she is even the best. There are a few vocal characteristics that are her signature: her famous resonance for instance that allows her to sing acapella without mic in venues with 10,000+ attendees. Her nickname in the singing world is "the ring" due to this. I would also list her amazing phrasing, breath management and her pleasant tone even when belting in her upper register. So she is one of the best vocalist ever, but on top of that, she adds a few things that make her an absolute package with no equivalence: • she speaks 2 languages natively (french, italian), and 2 others fluently (english, spanish), can speak a bit of dutch (and sicilian), and understand quite well russian and portuguese. She has sung in 12 languages in total • she is an amazing songwriter and wrote lyrics for 200+ songs, in the 4 languages she speaks fluently. Nice reaction. There is so much more Dimash..Loose Control, Red Moon Rules, I Come to Honor Mortal Life, Become a Poet, Grateful to Fate..all in the last month or two. Also please do The Almaty Concert live performance of The Story of One Sky. It is a whole different thing. The Video , all Dimash, screenplay, score and all, was a magnificent masterpiece. Watching him perform it live, over 3 hrs into that concert allows you to focus on lyrics and his voice and is truly astonishing. Please avoid the fan cams. The one from his channel with all the drone footage is the best. Go to Almaty Stranger, part 3. It starts with his heartfelt speech introducing it at about 23:00 and turn on the CC.
