It would have been nice to have it recorded in the studio. The placement of the 🎤 apparently wasn't close enough to pick her up well over the orchestra and and chorus. I don't find her runs/coloratura sloppy.

Renata was a great artist, but she made mistakes, like a lot of other singers. She had no business singing Armida, but listen to her Butterfly and tell me she was not a wonderful singer.

Stupid comments about one of the greatest opera singers of the 2nd half of the 20th century! She was a consummate artist always expressive and with an impeccable musicianship. Granted, she made a few mistakes. Who doesn't? In this case even Katia Ricciarelli and mezzo Jennifer Larmore do better in this most difficult aria. RIP

C'est une grande artiste mais la seule italienne à produire des aigus pincés, ce n'est pas très beau et pourtant elle a fait beaucoup de belles choses!

How unfortunate that she deceived herself into believing she was an assoluta soprano rather than the exquisite lyrico-spinto that she was naturally. The squealing hipgh notes at the end; the shadowy low notes and the slurred runs are just appalling. A great soprano who shortened her career and injured her reputation by trying to be something she was not.
