Sì, è eccezionale, straordinaria. La messa di voce sul fa del primo "pace" è da manuale, e siamo dopo 11 anni di carriera. A Firenze, l'anno successivo, sarà un filo meno perfetta. Tutta l'aria è tenuta sul piano, ma la potenza insita nella voce, e lo smalto non ne sono minimamente appannati. La cavata è stupenda, e il controllo dei registri è perfettamente omogeneo. E a chi sostiene che la cantante non sia attentissima all'interpretazione si può rispondere che è una corbelleria. L'interpretazione della Tebaldi è raggiunta attraverso il dosaggio dei fiati e la pronuncia perfetta, le note e i suoni sono appoggiati come la migliore scuola di canto richiede. E il climax che la Tebaldi raggiunge nelle frasi "IN MEZZO A TANTO TANTO DUOL" esplode nel suono irraggiungibile del si bemolle pianissimo di "invan la pace". Il finale è travolgente, un si bemolle potente, a fuoco, lungo, lungo, lungo fino ad esaurire l'ultima riserva di fiato. E l'applauso del pubblico, una vera e propria ovazione, rendono il giusto omaggio ad una cantante superba che di lì a pochi giorni, andrà a cantare al MET per i successivi diciotto anni. Che perdita incommensurabile non aver potuto sentire alla Scala la sua Butterfly, la sua Manon Lescaut, la sua Fedora, la sua Gioconda. Un peccato mortale.

il problema in La Forza a Firenze'56 è la diretta di Santini, molto lento, e anche la velocitá dei nastri della Forza e Traviata di Tebaldi a Firenze '56 è un po 'abbassata, quelli nastri non sono nella velocitá giusta, e molto ovvio per chiunque lo capisca di registrazioni e di nastri. Maria Callas fans spend most of their time posting bad notes sung by Renata Tebaldi at the end of her career or in unlucky evenings. If only they had known then what they knew by the 60s as far as how the mechanism works. Those high notes are always a tight gamble. Still, I can't stop listening to her.

Sí, en 1947 Sara Scuderi canto Anna Bolena en el Liceo de Barcelona en motivo del centenario de inauguración del teatro. Pero en esa época, en la España franquista no se grababan las óperas en vivo, espcialmente por que al dictador, que era un cazurro, no le gustaba la ópera. Y por cierto Giovanna Seymour fue Giulietta Simionatto, 10 años antes de que la cantara con la Callas.
