Dear Renata and Gordon, I have been following you since 2022 when I planned my trip to Singapore and Malaysia, later Mexico and Japan and now I am dreaming of visiting Australia and New Zealand. You became my travel partners which I consult before my trips. What I find fun in your travel video journeys is the balance of fun and seriousness about countries history and contributions to the world, your extensive travel destinations in every country and the lightness of Gordon‘s humor and how witty he is. You are great partners complimenting each other. Thank you for this Travel Harmony and Excitement that you give us in world exploration with you. Keep on Traveling and opening new frontiers for us 🌏🌍🌎👏👏👏

Yes, I wish you could do South Korea one day. After your Japan travel it will be a piece of cake…at least more people speak English in South Korea than in Japan. Great destination for Asia explorers like you. Thank you for your beautiful travel videos, very informative and full of excitement and charm both you Renata and your husband Gordon radiate. 🫶🌏🌍🌎

Another sweet video Renata and Gordon. Windy Wellington can sure get very windy. I think it's one of the windiest cities in the world. You have been very lucky with the weather! When Wellington is still and sunny it's a different place. So beautiful. A common phrase for Wellingtonians is "you can't beat Welly on a good day." The waterfront walk is very nice and usually the fastest way to get from A to B too. You did well to catch the market too. And Te Papa is definitely worth a visit especially as it's free. Te Papa roughly means "our place." On the subject of the word Aotearoa it's being used more and more in place of New Zealand and the country is a bit split on that. Aotearoa was the name of the north island by some tribes so it's been adopted as the name for the whole country fairly recently. Legend has it that the voyager Kupe with his wife and crew discovered NZ and one of his wives exclaimed "look. Aotearoa!" which means a long white or shimmering cloud. So that's where it comes from. I feel so happy to see you both enjoying our country and doing the things I've also done. Can't wait to see the next one!
@RenataPereiraTV8 ай бұрын
Hi Glenn! I'm so happy you're enjoying the videos! Thank you so much for watching 😊. Ahhhh, interesting to learn the meaning of Aotearoa, as that came as a huge surprise to me when we arrived in New Zealand and started seeing the word in so many places and in the news. I read a lot about world's history and geography, and had never heard of Aotearoa before. That explains 😉. And about the weather, we had some rainy and cold days too, but thankfully we spent more time in both Auckland and Wellington and could wait for sunny days to film 😉 (it's normally what we do in every trip, and we use the rainy days to make plans/research and visit as many cafes/restaurants as we can 😂😂). We were really lucky with the train ride though, as that's the only thing we couldn't change 😁🙏

Yeah as a New Zealander who lived in Wellington for 32 years I wouldn't live there again if you paid me to. Nice city in you can live in a place where it blows a howling gale 364 days of the year. It is cold and damp in the Winter. Takes ages to get out of the place. Forget trying to find to find any parking. Most of the CBD is boring. The cable car good. Te Papa worth a visit Harbour lovely on a fine day. Best trip to Wellies is actually leaving it
