Same here, if I wouldn't have just recently bought a second hand Mini Cooper SE earlier this year, I would seriously consider getting a Renault 5, even though I always said never to buy a brand new car.

I wish this car will make a lot more people interested into EV's. It's a city car that you can look at and say "That car looks very fun!" and from all the reviews i've seen, it really seems to be fun. Can't wait to have the chance to drive this car or maybe even own it.

Renault 5 is the first EV that really interests me. Since Renault have longer experience building EV's I think that they will release a product that is actually finished unlike many other manufacturers that sell "prototypes"

Even if you are not in love with the design - and who wouldn’t be - what I think Renault have almost uniquely achieved is to imbue the 5 with personality. BMW did this with the first version of the reinvented Mini but this has been steady lost over subsequent generations.

I find only two design-flaws: 1. The wheels and wheel-arches are too big. 2. The 3rd brake-light should be included into that red roof-line. (That line even is already red and at the right position in the rear spoiler.)

The battery is far too small, so the trip will be short in summer and winter. Do not bring this car to Finland. Cars imported to Finland must have a battery pack of at least 54 kWh.
