Slightly off topic but some of the most exciting toruing car racing I ever saw was the Renault 5 Turbo Cup back in the early 80s. It was a European championship with a great mixture of top drivers (e.g. Joachim Schirra, and ex-F1 driver Jan Lammers) and complete nobodies. Most of the cars ended the race covered in tyre marks - all up the side of the cars and often even on the roof! Looking at this clip I get the feeling that the car simply didn't like staying the right way up for too long :-)

Short wheelbase + fwd + turbo , even worse than a Saxo VTS. The rwd was even much more powerful and the handling was probably zero - only Ragnotti could drive this hell machine....but he was an extremely good driver also among the rally pilots of that era....

Had 4 of these back in the day at various times. Always good fun, but when pushed to the limit as seen here the poor suspension design & rear torsion bar would load up pressing unrecoverable loss of front traction, taking you straight off. I gave up modifying them in the end at 30+lbs of boost... they just became way too unwieldily.
