Really its amazing crossover but very underrated, am using Renault Captur RXT since 16 months, completed 20k on odo, its very stable and high performer when compared to other cars in this segment especially high-speed stability and bad road ability can't compare with any other cars even one more segment above, it's really fantastic. Mileage in city am getting around 14 to 16 and highway around 20 plus depends on driving style.

Very nice review i must say ... i purchased same model 1month before 14.10lakh rxt Driving this car is the real pleasure and on highways its a beast among its segment in terms of handling dynamics and drive quality no of this segment and segment above can match its performance . And there isnt turbo lag in 2nd gear its just the gear ratios of this car are designed to support its cruising manners so 1&3 gear are very small where as 2nd is a bit lengthy (that we are not use to in driving manual cars here ) to make it simple if you drive in third gear drop the speed thi 14kmh and release the break ,without any hesitation car picks up cleanly .if you do same thing in 2nd gear you feel the car is struggling a little bit . Thats not an issue atall just a different driving habit can make you love this car even more . Best car at this price in this segment . And please mention from where do get those seat covers and roof rails please . Thank you and once again it was a great reviews .

I am using Honda amaze diesel right now. I am planning to buy Captur Platine diesel. I am little bit worried about the reliability of Captur and its service costs. Honda gave me that bullet proof reliability till now (1.5 lakh kms done). I am expecting the same from Captur. I cannot find enough reviews in the internet to support its reliability in the "long term". Pls give me a unbiased and detailed opinion regarding its reliability and cost of ownership.

I am a long term Renault customer. Had a Duster before, Captur has same mechanicals with better refinement. Duster is cheap to own and maintain. Mechanical part of Captur is same so regular service cost is identical. Cosmetic repairs might be costlier!

One doubt. In the climate control unit, when the "air re-circulation" light is glowing, is the outside air let in? Pls check and tell correctly sir. Team bhp review by omkar says so. But i am confused if their statement is wrong in this aspect.

I won't recommend ecomode it spoils the fun of the driving experience. But if you want more mileage, turn it on. Regarding autolock, yours might not be enabled! You will hear locking sound and will see red led on lock switch near Hazzard switch. You can contact service centre or check ownership manual to enable it.

Hi Anil sir.. There are some complaints which I came across online about the fuel injector issues in 110ps renault engines and its very costly to replace them. Do you have any idea about these issues sir?

No engine, especially diesel is perfect. In fact this is a great engine, I don't think it is a major issue.

So far am very happy. Sound proofing is very good compared to my previous Duster. No rattling issues like Duster either. Low speed ride is also excellent. Sitting height is a bit tall, but soon will get used to the same and will start liking it. Good thing about this car is that it will surprise you, every now and then with some nice features.

Anil's tec & auto : nice. I heard that low speed ride is a bit more stiff than duster. You being a duster owner can feel the difference ,? Nvh is really good. Thats one reason i opted for this.

Best SUV on bad roads Renault. Creta can't hold a candle against Renault suspension. Go for it. I am a long term Renault customer, had a Duster 85 ps RXL before my Captur. I am fully happy with my purchase.

Thanks, the car is absolutely a gem to drive especially in ghat section, no worries. It had some turbo lag in 2nd gear initially.Now it's well controlled with a free software update

@@anilstec Hi Anil, upon seeing your review and vlogs here on KZbin, I was enough convinced to buy this masterpiece from Renault when the car was sold at a discounted price of 9.99lakhs during Nov 2019 for the diesel platine edition. The overall onroad price worked out around 12.20lakhs in my state. I also have a VW Ameo and I must say, this car has its own charm and drive pleasure for which I'm really happy. The drivability of Captur has close resemblance to my other car Punto 1.3 MJD. Now then, although I'm happy with my purchase, I have a couple of concerns pertaining to 1) 2nd Gear turbo lag below 1000 rpm leading to jerks and knocking. Visited the service center and asked them for a software update as suggested by you in your above response. The service advisor did some checks and confirmed that the software is upto date. It's a bit tough to get back 1st gear in slow moving traffic because of this. Have found a resolution to this? Any idea if Nissan Kicks users are also facing the same issue? 2) The excessive speed warning beep is too loud for my liking and I tried ways to reduce its volume in the infotainment system but of no use. My Punto had an option of manually changing the speed but it seems as per the ARAI recommendation, it's set to 85kmph and 120kmph(almost continuous beep). Any resolution for this so far?

Anil's tec & auto Renault’s 110 ps engines have the turbo lag and surge of power comes once past 2k rpm . So power is not linear and in traffic this gives uneasy driving experience. Instead of this you can try ford EcoSport which will be very wise pick.

Hi Anil sir.. Yesterday took a test drive of captur.. The drive is so good.. I liked the car.. Only problem I felt is the heavy steering at low nd parking speeds... Just wanted to know if it is specific with the test drive car or is it tuned like that in all the cars

It's not that heavy in mine. Try test driving a different car.Keep in mind that, Renault steering is not as light as Hyundai's.

I am getting around 15 to 16 kmpl. I have done my 10000 km service now. Hope it will improve further. I know users with better mileage. After all it depends on your driving style.

Thanks, as I am mentioning in the video most of the parts are same as Duster . So service cost will be same. I had a duster earlier, so can say with confidence that Renault service cost is comparable with Maruti or Hyundai . It’s easy maintain.

Mine is diesel. In highway if speed is maintained between 60 to 80 km then I have got 25 26kmpl with ac on.

It is very good.please note it also comes with rear ac vents. Duster had manual ac. Captur has auto ac ( new duster is also having auto ac in top models). In Captur, even base variant gets auto ac.

I own a Renault Captur 2019 model diesel platine variant. So far done 20000 kms and service charges are below Hyundai i20 cars. Milage is above 17 to 18 under mixed driving conditions though on Highways you can easily extract 23 to 26 if you drive sedatly. Too bad the pricing category killed its appeal.

I have bought Renault captur great car value for money, I have test drive creta Hyundai, xuv500, Maruti scross, duster, Tata hexa before buying this. First creta Hyundai good car but not as comfortable as captur seats of captur are like recliner awesome, suspension of captur much much better, ride quality of roading creta doesn't stand a chance, last service cost of second service just 4000 as compared to creta or other cars 9700 my friend has creta. Second xuv 500 no match to captur in comfort,ride quality, mileage of capture 20 + xuv 15 only like a huge truck no comfort who drives shakes at 110km/hr speed Mahindra cannot match international standards. Third Maruti Scross old only 1.289cc engine underpowered congested car selling bosh system no car quality, hybrid technology car stops everytime u stop have to press clutch to start no comparison to captur selling just name lacks power old people car Tata hexa too big car clumsy like mini truck Very low mileage 14km/hr no match to captu r in comfort and ride quality. Duster good difference captur is much much more comfortable, ride quality, seats of capture like recliner, suspension of captur much much better u don't feel any jerk international standards in captur much much better than duster. Overall car for city ofraoding old and young people.
