It's what people will never understand about these cars and what can't be attributed to any sort of social status. 400+ BHP RWD/AWD in a car that weighs 1600kg+ and changes gear for you is great, but anyone that has driven a Renaultsport car can tell you how special they are. It's almost personal every time you get behind the wheel.

There was actually 173 Mk1 172s brought into the UK. I bought a brand new, right hand drive 172 while living in Germany.

@@VersionOneUK I owned it for 3 years, and then sold it to someone moving to the UK. It was a great little autobahn mover. I’ve lost count of the amount of times I took above 140mph.
