@@VersionOneUK Last minute KZbin flick through before starting work. Nürburgring is one amazing place I’ve been 3 times in 12 months so I know how addictive it is. The protracks & pro race wheels previously suited this car so well. Been on a previous Trackday with my old Megane & this car at Donnington so I know of the car too. Nice to see it’s still about though.

@@jonboyy1327 yeah mate it's still going strong! The owner literally uses it just for track, just needed some love and money thrown at it. I borrowed it off him for the vid but other than that it barely see's the road, hence the super sturdy setup 😂 bouncing all over the place. It's a very well sorted car and even before any more work was done on it the spec was maaaaaassive

All depends what he's into mate! The RS200 and trophy both have 1.6 litre turbos, and only come in auto so they're fun and when driven softly are actually quite economical! I can't comment on the other platforms because I've only experienced the RS

Hey mate, I've seen this happen multiple times now where people try to save money on other branded or no branded (not saying you have) spacers and they just do not fit the Mégane. Had mine on the car ages, sat completely flush, no issues what so ever

This one didn't feel bad at all mate, especially for a big car... In the sportier setting and with the bilsteins it felt pretty good!

For the money absolutely mate, I love the MK3 as a platform, especially around the 12/14k mark, but the MK4 is majorly slept on. I actually know someone who now has a 265 after a MK4 trophy and he said the MK4 is faster everywhere, and a much nicer daily, so I think that's where the money goes. If we're talking cash purchase, I'd have an F80 M3 all day 😂

There shouldn't be any throttle delay in sport or race mode mate, but the GFB diverter valve should help... I have videos on the channel installing it and test driving it

I'm not sure dude, I would assume because the intakes etc are all lower you'll see less heat soak so theoretically it should run cooler in all aspects... I specifically had a turbo cooler on my clio MK4

Nice mate! Glad you're enjoying it! They aren't very common I can confirm, which is a positive AND negative... But I've only seen 5/6 in the 3 off years I've had it! Their are a couple of reasons why I think these aren't very common but the big push for the nurburgring lap record certainly didn't help put eyes on the car!

I like the exclusivity of it all. When this one came up for sale I couldn't believe my luck. Took her for service and got everything tightened up and is running even better. Are there any performance mods you would recommend. I'm about to get some new tyres and taking the wheels in to get painted black and where the red pinstripes are will change to the yellow on the rs badge.

⁠bro if you live somewhere the road is smooth as butter they will probably be OK but where I live fu…. The ride is hard even at the softest setting…there is no bumpstop action whatsoever…if you see a bump on the road it hits so hard that I am expecting the hood to fly 😂 the 19 inch wheels are not helping but still. Now it turns better that is fact it does not lean and is even more stable, the camber is adjustable and we did -2,5 but there is no bump stops, there is no rubber support on the top mount (do not know how it is called in English)….so in general really disappointed. Probably should have spent some for KW or just lowering springs like you…do not know bro. Leaving to Belgium on Wednesday. Will drive 2000 km to there and than will take a spin at the track….will see

The car was already running a stage 1 tune before this mate, that video is also on the channel! It made 290 in that other video before a tune, and I'm not sure what the power equates to at the wheels

So basically it made 290 stock, now is running around 340 with stage 2 and stage 1 was 318 right? 100-200 stock is going to be around high 13 I guess. Btw I’m looking to purchase a trophy here in Italy, 2019 model manual gearbox, did you have any problems with the car, is it reliable?

@@alessandrocensi1299 the cars never let me down man... Renault don't leave much on the table as far as gains go, if you're really wanting to push it you'll need a hybrid turbo

@@VersionOneUK yeah, well let’s say that you don’t need a huge amount of power on this car, being fwd going over 350 would be pretty much useless. I think I would consider my self satisfied with intake and stage 1

I swapped into one of these a few months ago from a very similar car but with 330d power plant (tuned ) wonderful cat, was faster from the get go but not as special at the top end where the b58 takes over. I’m planning to take mine to senior performance and have it stage 2 tuned with a quaiffe lsd fitted in the same instance. It was always the plan when I bought the car as ultimately this was my “well if I’m not having an m3 because I darn’t turn up at suppliers driving it” closet alternative Lovely car, very impressed in standard guise regardless. To add, as per your suggestion in the video….i also have a second car that’s used as a track car / local run about / school drop off (Honda civic type R…ep3) so I can retain my love of a manual box….the one thing I wish I could find when searching for 340i…..yes the zf auto is excellent (that said I’m going to get mine serviced now and then tuned at the same time os the map to the Alpina tune or similar) but I still would far rather have the complete control a manual gives than have to suffer the car deciding which gears best all the time….interesting to note your observations in sport +….ill try that 👍 They’re clearly rare cars and manual one with decent spec seems like hens teeth. Hoping with the right tune and the addition of the lsd this could turn into a real drivers weapon….and all for circa £2k outlay. Anyway, thanks again for the video 👍
