Great video, think one of these could possible be my next car

They are not the quickest (0-62 is 6.6 secs) although the Mini John Cooper Works takes 6.2 and the Fiesta ST 6.5 so not much difference. What I love is the theatre of it. The pops on overrun, the over boost in 4th and 5th gear giving extra torque. This and the “Clio Cup” chassis which is very firm makes for a go kart like experience. Thanks for watching and your comments.

@@LivetoDriveUK 0-60 still think isn't bad but for the money it's an excellent little car makes a nice sounds, paddle if needed and it's renault which I like. My only thing to say is downside is wish seats were more sporty.

@@LivetoDriveUK The handling will blow away a Fiesta ST and Mini JCW. Plus the Paddle shift is the way to go, manual gears are slow and old hat. The 0-60 figures are mainly bragging rights down the pub, once you are on the move on country roads roundabouts slip roads etc the trophy is more than quick enough for a blast.

Hi your Channel popped up while I was viewing Renault Clio's,I noticed you had a problem turn steering wheel and start ? that happened to me in a Renault Capture same controls I too ended up on a Tow Truck but he said if you disconnect the battery for 10 mins the car resets its self and starts .I ended up at Halfords and a group of Mechanics had a chinwag and disconnected the battery and it worked,so i bought them all an ice-cream,apparently its common and the car gets confused ?.the steering lock is electronic...
@LivetoDriveUK3 жыл бұрын
Yes the RAC mechanic tried the battery drain logic but it still wouldn’t work. I like good old fashioned mechanical locks 😊

What was the problem, has it returned ?
@LivetoDriveUK Жыл бұрын
Electronic steering lock. No problem since fixed.

Does it have the Akrapovic fitted or the standard RS exhaust?

What kind of mpg is realistic in the Mk4 RS Clio?
@LivetoDriveUK3 жыл бұрын
We discuss this in a future video. Driven quick it will be low 30’s but with a careful right foot you can get over 45 but having owned a Mk4 Clio 1.5 diesel which I could average 80+ from full to empty, the RS is unlikely to be bought by someone looking for great economy. Many thanks for watching and your question.

The RS 220 runs better on V Power or similar.
@LivetoDriveUK3 жыл бұрын
@@AbandonEarth911 totally agree. I use Shell V-Power or Tesco Momentum 99.
