Why don’t right-hand-drive versions get the pop-out lunch tray and drawer-style glovebox that left-hand-drive versions get? Why haven’t been made available for right-hand-drive?

The annoying thing about the Master is how much they charge for that battery. It's £7500 extra for the kangoo, whic isn;t too bad, but £20,500 extra for the master, for the same damn battery, which is frankly a ripoff. As I want to use it for a camper conversion I really want them to make a version with a much bigger battery and fast DC charging (you didn't say whether either has that or not?). With that 1.89m height there is room to put a 100kWh Tesla pack on the floor, and 40mm of insulation in floor and ceiling and I can still stand up with 80mm to spare, so that may prove to be the way forward.

Tom here: It's the problem with transitional electric vans (those that use existing vans). It's cheaper not to mess with the structure so you get stuck with what they can fit.

@@vanaramauk Yeah. it's OK (well, understandable) that the battery is relatively small due to space constraints and not wanting to do new design work. It's not OK that the diesel:electric cost delta is almost 3 times as much. OK the master has a bigger motor, and maybe some wires are longer, but otherwise the cost difference should be exactly the same so any more than 10 grand is taking the piss.

Nice review Tom. Kango looking a bit dated now. Can't believe Nissan now replaced there excellent nv200 with one of these called the nv 250 !!

nv250 is the kangoo..which has a completely new model 2021 (new platform)..hence..so will nissan...nv200..ice engine disappeared....nv200 only has the e (electric) option...both new nv250/kangoo...ice/hybrid/e models.....exiting new model...will be quite a hype...only a few months to wait...hence new nv250/kangoo....diesel/petrol/hybrid/e..all 4 options......nv200 only e option

Tom here: Exactly, but this is still early days for the tech & I anticipate improvements in battery tech that will negate repeat fast charging wear.
