The F4R engine didn't have any cam profile change, it only had a variable pulley at the intake. This throaty sound you hear is simply the F4R engine with some typical intake mods. Perhaps a cone filter and thats it.

@@lordvader2357 what if i told you I'm considering a Renault build as my next car? Although I'm no Renault expert in any way, I've owned one for a decade (Clio k4m) and I'm currently planning getting an F4R in a hatch next year or so as a little budget project of mine. Ask away...
@lordvader23573 жыл бұрын
@@Lucas-ck1po Oh I see, I own a mk1 k4m scenic and I wanna swap it with a f4r or es94j, the v6 from laguna, c5, peugeot... you think the v6 will fit or better try the 2.0 16v? thanks in advance
@Lucas-ck1po3 жыл бұрын
@@lordvader2357 If im not mistaken the Scenic was produced with a F4R option above the K4M, so engine mounting is going to be less complex. However, i don't know the detais of this project of yours, i don't know your budget to do this but i would avoid engine swaps, specially trying to fit a v6 into such small engine bay. Swaps are complex, time consuming and the bill can get expensive preety quick in services and parts. Making a swap project work well, smooth, reliably and such is not as simple as it seems. Ive seen people quit swap projects, sometimes turbocharging the engine can be a better option. But honestly, i don't know where you are from or how much you are willing to spend but i would suggest you look for an RS Clio. These things are not that expensive anymore, are light as hell and already have F4R engines as factory. Personally, the only thing i would swap is the car, i don't think a Scénic is worth the hassle. I the end you may end up with your resources drained after such project and end up with a car that doesn't work properly. Swaps is a thing for specialized shops. Save up some, sell the scenic and get a clio. It will be alot cheaper in the long run and your car will be more dependable as well as more fun to drive. Not to mention that there is quite a selection of aftermarket stuff for Clios, you will never get bored of it. Sorry, it's just my honest opinion. I currently drive an HR16 manual Micra, super fun, cheap, efficient... but im getting something else instead of investing in it, i don't think it is worth the hassle. But hey, thats just me. But if you decide to swap, forget the V6, that would be an insane tight fit, go F4R.
