The Renault Magnum was a Truck of the year in 1991. It's still looks beautiful. As today it is a timeless design. The 430 engine was a Mack E-7 engine.

Hi Stavros, i was wondering when you intend doing the review on the VTC Plug in Power unit that you installed on a Scania R560 back in June of this year? I am interested in purchasing some of these units and would be grateful if you could give feedback on how the box is performing on the truck you installed it on.

I think all domestic properties can only handle 7kw if you want higher I'm sure you need 3 phase electrics as I enquired about it once when I had a Renault zoe.
@JustBadly3 жыл бұрын
Full electric trucks make a lot of sense, HGV use is an industrial application. The build will be modular, meaning repairs and service will be straight forward enough. The other point is that trucks are used efficiently, loads and journeys are planned to be cost effective. Making HGV electric makes perfect sense, the same can't be said for cars.

have a question related to torque and horsepower on the side of one truck for another truck in speed effects? which is correct in speed is it the horsepower or is it the torque that determines the maximum speed of the truck?
@mark20007152 жыл бұрын
I hope Renault eventually improve headlamps. In last two generations you can't see anything during a night. That's why most of Renault drivers use fog lamps to improve night vision.

Hey Stavros, great vid as always! Can you tell me if theres a gap between Renault and for example Mercdes trucks like there is on cars. Like interior material and build quality has a big gap. And its the same on the trucks?

I cant understant how electric trucks are going to work with the short battery life i mean a lorry driver does long arse days they cant be stopping every few hundred miles to charge surely?
@kostelcioby19363 жыл бұрын
If the temperature drops below 8 prepare to die inside... parking heater is only for cold summer days, your speaker phone is 10 times louder then every Renault speaker, wheel adjustment will always cover the dashboard, no other lorries do that, mirrors cover 80% of your visibility when you enter in a roundabout 👀 or you are to close to a pedestrian way you, you have that 3% chance to kill someone because of the large mirror cover that take you a lot of your visibility, no comfort for legs, the seat has a maximum adjustment too small, if you are a tall man it will be very uncomfortable

If you've been driving for a while trucks you all know Renault and Iveco are the laughing stock among truck drivers. I won't deny though. The Renault Magnum mount / dismout style was indeed something really quirky but nothing more than that... unfortunately.
