You started off calling the Zoe a small city car, firstly it has more space in the back & the boot than a Kona. I'm 6'2" and live in the country, most of my journeys are long non motorway driving. At 22kw chargers it charges quicker than nearly everything else. I owned my first 40kw Zoe for 18 months and got 2k more than I paid for it when I sold it!

it is on the smaller side though. There's nothing wrong with city cars by the way.

One major plus for the Zoe is that it can charge at a 'slow' public charger at 22Kwh, other EVs can only do 7.4Kwh..... On the minus side rapid charging is an extra on some versions which is not really on in 2020!

Will you please stop referring to the Zoe as a little city car. It has a 200 to 245 mile range. I drive the 22kwh Zoe and I don't consider that as a little city car.

That was an honest review and accurate (I have a 40kw Zoe). By the way I do have fun embarrassing “poses in posh cars”.

The armrest is an accessory. You can have it fitted at your dealership.

you can't recline the seats? I hope I'll be comfortable in those... I have back problems.

I like most of your reviews, but I think at times you're playing to the camera - verging on entertainment value over objective review. Don't end up a comedian car reviewer like an Irish Clarkson. This one started that way for me. I think you have to put your comments/niggles at the beginning into the context of what other EVs in this sector are out there and what they cost... not comparing €27k to a petrol car. Range is a BIG factor n that value-proposition... this has a very god range compared to a Mini-e, e-Golf, e-Up, Honda e etc. For an EV that's actually with decent interior and decent range it's a decent price. 52Kw is actual battery capacity, 50Kw is usable... this is a trait of all EVs, some manufacturers declare the upper figure (and lie), some the true figure. It's a city car, not an executive saloon. Review got more objective/informative during the drive.

First time anyone has ever tried to say I'm funny Trevor so I'll take it! I don't think I was harsh on the Zoe at all, the price of cars in Ireland is always going to be a frustration due to VRT but that isn't the fault of the car makers. Thanks for watching.

Just a small note Trevor the usable battery is 52kwH. The actual size is larger. It’s like the ZE40 has 41kwh usable battery although the actual size is bigger.

@@NobbyOnCars 1.77 - 1.78m then. Thank you. I'm 1.85 but the rear doesn't look to be uncomfortable. I'm really worried for the front seats, tho'.

Why in the world do you whine about the absence of a driver's armrest? As the owner of a new Zoe myself I don't only have no problem on that score, I applaud its non inclusion because it enables me to place my hands in the best position for control, ie ten to two. I'd find that more difficult to do using an armrest. You're not lounging at home, you're driving a car for Pete's sake, a potentially lethal machine needing acute and constant attention to the fact. Your lament is stupidity on stilts.

that's me told! Arm rests in cars all over the world must be the cause of fatal road accidents - rip them out immediately!!
