Casey, brother, you did such an excellent job with this. I know it was a lengthy task trying to react to my already too-long video, but I thoroughly enjoyed watching every moment of this. “Enjoyed” sounds like a weird word to use when we’re discussing such serious subject matter, but I can’t find a better one. Your compassion and empathy shines through, and I want to thank you publicly here for showing so much kindness and saying such thoughtful things about my reaction (and the others), but also for opening up and vulnerably sharing your own story as it related here. I loved getting a little more insight into your life as a result of this. Especially when talking about you son-your love and desire to be there for him is palpable, and a lot of times, kids can pick up in that general vibe even if you’re not able to have nearly the time you’d like to be able to have with him. I’m also hoping you’re able to keep having those moments you do have with him for play time, and he will 100% remember that, I know I can’t speak from a parent’s POV, but I can see your heart for your son in what you’re sharing, and I also want to say that sometimes it’s okay, and even necessary, to also take that time to decompress, yourself, because that’s how you’ll be able to be there for him next time. I just want to send you all the virtual hugs (if consented). You really did an excellent job with this, and despite the length of the video, it honestly flew by. You were definitely the right person to go next in this, no doubt about that. And I have no doubt it will help many people who are able to watch. 💕 Very grateful to have connected with you through this Renception adventure! NICE clue!😂

Becca, you have an enormous heart. I truly enjoyed (Yes, lol. I'll use that word too!) watching and listening to your RENdition of the RENception also. You opening up and so many others will indeed help the ones that need it. Whether they know it or not. Thank you for paving the way for myself and others! Much love ❤️ I look forward to learning more about you and hearing how your journey continues on YT and personal. Talk to you soon 🧀

A counselor said to me that the most important thing I could do as a Mum was let my children know that I loved them. There can be times as a parent when our life situation is overwhelming. I found keeping what my counselor had said forefront in my mind was helpful.

If you watch Ren's 1 million subscriber thank you video regarding success. Ir will reinforce everything Renception, and the Rwnegades stand for. You did a wonderful job. Thank you. And so your trauma is really dealing with wanting to have been the "bigger man" than your dad, in spite of the emotional neglect you experiened from him. Everyday we all face the choice of being a healing force in the world. I hear that healing force in your voice.Being aware that you weren't capable of giving dad the time of day,is the first step in growing your compassion. Becca chose well.❤

OK, I've finally watched it all. Casey - i specifically want to leave a comment for you. By the age of 6, I had been through 5 families (the 5th was my forever home though). So trust me when I tell you, while I understand why you feel guilt, please know that you are doing everything right. Stability is crucial for young children. As long as you are there, and they know you are there if they need you, then taking time for yourself is perfectly valid. If you don't take time for yourself then you become worn down and frustrated. A present Dad, a reasonably happy Dad (let's not go overboard and just say a happy Dad, because really who is truly super happy these days) - is a good Dad. And in case you doubt it, it very much comes across in your video that you are indeed a good Dad. The very fact that you feel guilty and like you should be doing more, already makes you a better Dad than the ones that do very little, and fully believe that they doing more than enough. Massive massive hugs. ❤❤❤ Just keep doing what you are doing, you'll be fine.

@@Cheezyxyz I should actually address your other topic you brought up, because I'm not clear if you are feeling guilt about the end of your biological father's life. But I can relate heavily. My own biological parents had alcohol and drug issues and my biological Dad (or at least who is down on my birth certificate as my biological Dad, but it turns out actually isn't... Much longer story) had suicidal tendencies. I was removed from them when I was 3 and a half, at half 2 in the morning, which is of course an awesome time to be grabbed out of bed by a bunch of strangers, who already knew how this was going to go after removing my brother 3 years earlier for exactly the same reasons as they eventually removed me which for some reason took them 3 years, while they documented every dodgy thing my birth parents did wrong - but apparently just documenting it was enough, they didn't need to take any action until it was almost too late. Anyway I'm going off on a tangent. The point is, I have no contact with them. I spent quite a long time in my teenage years actually resenting them. And then as I matured I realised, they were mentally ill - both of them. I don't forgive them as such, but I understand there was more at play than them just being abusive and shitty parents. That said - I want nothing to do with them, and won't be attending their funerals (if I even find out they have died). Don't feel guilty about your biological father, he made his choice, for whatever reason - and you are not responsible for the choices that he made. ♥️

Hey Casey welcome to the Renception universe. Glad you met the good Doc. I have not seen your channel before, but I’ll be checking you out again in the future. You seem a thoughtful and emotional generous guy. I love the compassion and sensitivity you showed to Becca’s reaction (and indeed to McFly’s and Wolf’s) and your willingness to be open to knowledge and other’s experiences. I think personally, if we all appreciate that trauma is in everyone’s life in different forms and respect each other’s stories then the world would be a better place. I said in the comments to McFly we should teach “Mental Up” not “Man/Woman/Other Up” i.e. become strong through talking and expressing feelings, learning to understand our emotions and metal mind frame; then get help if needed. I think teaching this to kids early in life in an age appropriate way is essential.

Each Reactor puts so much of themselves out here for us to connect with. Trauma no matter where it come from, leaves deep scares on our psyche. We try to bury it , but it is a pain that lingers and effects how we view and react to the world outside. Some go through multiple trauma in their lives. The Ren community is a gathering of these trauma victims. It feels like coming home to a supportive caring family. Some of us are sharing our truths for the first time in our lives. Although difficult it is somewhere we feel safe! The REN’s Rabbit Hole is where we share with other perfectly flawed humans as ourselves and we work to lift one another up. Hopefully lifting them up with the rising tide that is #TheRenEffect. Also TheWolfJohnson has the most soothing voice on the web. I could listen to for hours! So very grateful to REN and the reactors for helping our family grow!🐇🕳️🖤Big Love for The Renegades, they are my heart!

I’m so glad I was able to watch this and that you felt comfortable sharing. There is so much I could touch on, but the one thing I want to encourage you is to give yourself grace, particularly when it comes to the responsibilities as a father. Just the fact that you care so deeply about intentionally spending time with your son shows how much you love him … and I am confident he feels it. Those moments - even the brief ones - of genuine love and connection are what will stick with him. Don’t let the power of guilt and regret stand in the way of cherishing the moments and opportunities that you do have with him. So many of us come from broken homes with parents who seem incapable of providing the love that we needed growing up. And from what you shared, you are still dealing with the trauma you experienced as a child. You have the ability to break the cycle of generational trauma, but you need to extend grace and love towards yourself in order to heal. I’m so glad you have joined the Ren community ❤ I look forward to sharing the journey with you!

Just talking, just sharing is so incredibly brave. These issues, need to be bought out into the light, I think it’s the only way to stop some of these traumas in the first place. 😘😘😘

sometimes, perspective, or as it is referred to several times here "comparative trauma", is important. acknowledging that someone else has had it worse doesn't invalidate what you lived through or your emotions, but it can add perspective. and sometimes, that is exactly what is needed to move past it. Seeing someone who has had it worse and seeing them overcome can help you realize that maybe your lot isn't so bad and that you can actually overcome your own problems.

Big Props to all creators for taking on the Renception with their own personality and experiences. My only disappointment is with YT. As a person who lost a brother to suicide and a bf to murder.....I can't stand this whole "trigger warning" culture. I've had many conversations explaining my POV, on "sensitive content". All I can offer is when something sudden, tragic, stigmatised, YT censorship worthy, etc, occurs, those of us involved didn't get a "trigger warning," nor do we need it. Life has very harsh realities, I find it sad to see YT winning with our right to free speech. So many words, subjects, POV, etc, are considered by the YT overlords, not to align with their "moral or social compass". Which I gather really just comes from their sponsors, the only higher power YT has is greed, money and profit. So despite some creators feeling the need to put warnings on very real, common, and relateable topics, getting to hear each ones Renperience has been great. Keep fighting the real fight, your life, and how that life can inspire, uplift and unite others. BTW....This is my 1st listen to this channel, I'm looking forward to coming back and checking out your content. Respect from Melbourne Australia 🙏 🌏💙
