is there a way to get the solved 3d camera out of postshot. also how do get accurate scaling to work when importing back to 3d packages. Cheers

what are current possibilities with relighting Gaussian splats? specially in vray. is that even a current or future possibility?

For the moment they can be made to appear to catch shadows as shown in the video but that's it. There are a number of research papers about recovering material properties for Gaussian splats however none of the available tools support this yet. I hope we'll get to a point where they are relightable.

Do the splats receive shadows by default?

The splats do not receive shadows automatically at the moment - you need to use a matte/shadow surface to catch the shadows.

just curios was lighting also imported or you manually tweak it as per scene ?

The lighting needs to be matched manually - in this case by using a V-Ray sun.
