HIT: The World (HIT2) - Japan Release (PC Version) - Mobile/PC - F2P - JP

The game was finally released yesterday in Japan. This is basically the same game as HIT 2, the only difference I noticed is the damage numbers while in combat. The game has the mandatory IP-Block from Nexon but you can use any free VPN (I used Tunnelbear) and bypass, then turn it off once you are in the server selector. It works with any Google/Facebook/Apple/etc... account

That's really all any game from the east needs, if it's a gacha or mmo just make it so we can read it, and have a way to pay them money for the costumes, dunno why they waste their time with these 'global releases' that require 'localization' and contracts with western devs, just translate it without changing the content, and censor or remove nothing. I remember playing the mobile version back in the day it was pretty decent. The models have had a huge glow up and the physics are nice but it looks like it’s suffering from the open world mmo drawbacks.. the attacks are very stationary meaning the characters aren’t moving in any direction while attacking. And the camera is basically glued on the character. No action camera lag, shake, pans, etc. If you’re into classic MMOs where you have a bunch of hotkeys and your character just stands there and attacks this may be your cup of tea. Pretty game but not enough action for me.

@@MangaGamified I don’t play open world rpgs so this is a comparison of instance based mobile games; the games I’m talking about have steady and infinite progression systems where you’re basically getting stronger as you play without hitting any walls. Steady and consistent event progression. Focus on the game’s core mechanics instead of things like mini games. Doesn’t force trial characters on you, so you’re using the teams you worked so hard to build as your primary units. Lots of tangible goods that keep you playing; like cosmetics, potential god rolls that drastically change the way you use the unit, daily bosses with rare material drops, additional grindable items that let you pull for more units. Small collectible things like lobby screens, emotes. frames, music. Quick and easy dailys for when you’re feeling lazy. The 2 games that have done this for me are Nikke and Unison League which ironically aren’t hack and slash; the genre I’m primarily into. I could go into heavy details about their mechanics but basically they fit my criteria which I listed above. Aether Gazer, PGR, Hi3, Vindictus are my top games in terms of combat, but they fall short in terms of progression, tangible rewards, burnout, and excessive mini games. But with Nikke and Unison League I’ve never felt burnout or thrown out of the loop. I’m always engaged in the content and there’s always something new to look forward to. There aren’t many times where the game becomes stagnant where you hit a wall or don’t receive or experience anything new.

I make games and I sometimes come across these "physics guide". But their physics usually uses physics of other systems like cloth phyics or gelatinous aka jelly phisics

@@MangaGamified I also make games, kinda. I find KawaiiPhysics to be the closest thing to these. Because you can customize the physics and how it moves and reacts. If you really wanted to, you can add additional bones for a more detailed effect. I almost like to think that advanced physics systems like the one here and in Vindictus Defying Fate utilize a large amount of bones to achieve the level of physics showcased. Maybe I’m wrong though.

@@TakiGamesOfficial Thanks for the info, yeah it's not the best out of the box, but beats doing it from scratch, you have to do skin weighting and such, it's useful for mob/side characters that you can't just duplicate bones. It's tough being a western company like unity/UE, they can't just blatantly give guides on how to jiggle chests. In all my years looking up stuff, I've never seen a pro teach if not sell guides for these. But for main heroines and main allies, I can afford to give a bit more bones / skin weights.

it's a mobile, only so much they can do with mobile mmorpgs apparently. If they made a game like this for pc only, it wouldn't have a lot of these monetary systems and combat would most likely be better.

I'm really annoyed by the flooding of smartphone-targeted content over 'proper' interaction on the internet, like typing comfortably or watching videos on a screen that doesn't make you squint. An emulator may well fix this issue, but they tend to run heavy and a PC client should really be the default for many reasons. Heck, this might help ensure that not many people will try to mod the game as well, as there's more steps to do so on mobile, which runs right in the face of my 'mod every game' policy. Guess I'll just hope for the best, and if not, try to learn JP at least, since it has JP voice-over and I can't really deal with KR or CN voices for......aesthetic reasons.
