Elden ring combat is literally ds3 but modernized. Only sekiro elements it has is jumping and crouching. Sekiro and sekiroesque games are COMPLETELY dependent on parries more than anything. Elden ring combat wise isn't like sekiro at all. Imo this looks more like a mix of cv and sekiro.

It feels like "souls-like" has become a buzz word for any game with swords and combat and is used instead of hack and slash. If i see souls like I think slower deliberate combat that brutally punishes you for committing to the wrong attack or not recognizing when to dodge/parry. The souls aesthetic never appealed to me but this looks like something I'd check out on a demo or a sale before diving in.

i don't think its "souls-like", for example it don't have the stamina system, where in "souls-like" u need to have strategy when to normal attack, heavy attack and at the same time reserve some stamina to dodge/guard. Anyway, as casual player I am more towards this kind of game, hopefully its not too hard/punishing like "souls-like" genre but also not too easy.

Honestly, I don't care that it has the same mechanics as other games, as long as the story and gameplay make sense and have some synergy with one another. And, if you want to add value there and create a sense of accomplishment and reward on players: make sure to let us loot and use the equipment from the bosses, like in Elden Ring. That's one of the biggest reasons why I liked Elden Ring so much. Almost everything you saw on monsters and bosses you could get for yourself and mix and match.

Others like commander Gaius was awful and had some of the worst hiboxes I have ever seen. And I fought the hippo before they nerfed its grab hit box and that was just near unavoidable death each time. Consort Radahn phase 1 was not so bad besides one combo that could roll catch u in any direction and combo into the other 2 hits. But it's phase 2 nuking frame rates, obscuring the entire screen with Miquella's hair and flashbangs, AOEs that basically cover the entire arena are all just AWFUL. It felt like some bed of chaos levels of cheap bs

Elden ring is one of the intense hardest games I’ve ever played. Never show a character ass whooping other bosses. We want to get the ass whooped. That’s why it’s great as a souls like game. I have yet to see a comparison. I’m for better battles and gameplay but I want to feel underpowered at all times for a souls game. That’s the true nature. Give me hopeless fights and I have to make 20 different strategies just for one boss from beginning to end and even the minions are scary.

Devs, remember that Sekiro is not only "cover every move and put a sound of two metals crashing into each other and hit enemies until their posture breaks" Sekiro means: Perfect Parries in the perfect moment. If you make the game with current mentality this will not be a good game. Becareful with it or Souls/Sekiro fans will destroy the game. Game looks awesome, but it needs to be more worked arround it before it gets out.

Like the art style. The sound. Actually very easy on eyes. Has a 'cuteness' quality to character in combat, also. Really glad I decided to get PS5, a few month ago. 'Stellar Blade,' "Bloodborne,' and now this exclusive. This the first Chinese game, for me, lookin pretty sharp. Character seem a bit small, but gameplay and sound and visual seem to make it work.
