When I met them in 2004 they had just celebrated their first wedding anniversary - tennis champion Mahesh Bhupathi and the stunning Chennai-based model Shweta Jaishankar. They looked fabulous together! The 6ft 1” tennis champion had found his true match, they said. It certainly seemed so in our rendezvous.
A few years later it all disappeared..and they divorced.
Mahesh is now married to the lovely Lara. But this is then..

Just see how Jayalalitha such a tough woman opened up in her show..that was historical to make her open up....that how good interviewer gets into winning the trust of the guest. It's always not ha ha he he such stuff required or plain question n answer but giving emotion touch to interview finally making the guest to open up much more than normal interview is also a big achievement

Am happy for Shweta and I personally don't care for Mahesh or Lara, more power to women like Shweta. One more thought, the reason third person entered is the husband itself, many(not all) Indian men always want to bring another party into the marriage, either another woman or their own parents, they can't take the responsibility of marriage on their own I suppose!!

Actually mahesh and sweta were separated for several years before the divorce. He use to sleep with multiple women on the tour, one every night when he was travelling. He was/is a master manipulator of the media and the press held off on reporting the separation for several years until he was ready to announce. In return he would give them information to report and other stories as by this time he was managing other players. He lined up Lara before announcing the divorce for his own reputation. Mahesh is a womaniser and used many women for sex.

They seem very fresh here and one might think: wow....good relationship with an independent woman and a planning father. But in the end, something always happens. I dont know why but we can see that in many relationships. Here the man got divorce and is with Lara dutta. Also an independent woman who has had relationships. Shekar Kapur got divorced and got to other woman. Abhishek had a good woman but Aishwarya was better than the former one. Saif was a husband but Kareena got married to a divorced man. Shilpa got married to a divorced man. John abraham had independent and confident Bipasha but married another one while she is still single. hritekh couldnt hold on to his marriage. Ranis husband is divorced. It seems that the men always find partners, stay with them some years, divorce them and move on with other women. Then the singled and divorced women have no choice because they are not desired anymore by other men and they have to stay single and earn money. Preity is single, Bipasha is single, Karisma is almost divorced, Hritecks wife is single, Amisha Patel is single, Sushmita Sen is confident but also not able to hold a man, Manisha Koiralas struggle, Tabu, Rekha has everything but..., Aamir Khans exwife, Pryanka is successful but cant find a man, Amrita Singh, so many more and one wonders why? These have been gorgeous, confident and independent women but it seems that a man just cant stay with them after some years but when a man has the reassurance that hes got all, he then goes for another woman and everything the former wife did the next lover will have the fruits of her labor.
