Simiji- it amazes me how you can flawlessly unravel the intimate embedded emotions of your guests onscreen. I have watched a few of Coffee with Karan shows but they are just like any other talk shows out on screen. Feels as if a group of friends chatting away on a cuppa barista. No connection whatsoever of host and guest. Something missing. Rendezvous- is like an old wine from the cellar. Every sip every moment is bliss. The audience is drawn in by you and become a part of the interview. You with ease create a connection of trio- audience host and guest. This is beyond imagination. Simiji, you manage to put across kind of questions where we think the host will either avoid or lie, but that never seems to happen. They lay out their hearts with replys we audience would never think of to hear. The reason lies in your persona , flawless communication. You are like a therapist ,a Counsellor where every guest I watched seemed to say - wish this show continues and Simiji keeps on talking and the we are glued to our seats. Javed sahab and Shabanaji are two Anmol Ratans of the film industry along with a Pearl like you. Till date we were under the impression that life wasn’t fair enough for us. After watching these personalities life bibles we now know they have may be endured more than most of us out there. Just to entertain the world just to make us smile these fabulous artists always enter their homes with tears in their eyes and fatigue. Life in reality becomes an act, sacred emotions too become questionable. Thank you all for making us Smile. May almighty keep you all smiling.

Such an interesting interview! Shabana Azmi looks so different here.. she also seems preoccupied and pareshan lol. Also another thing I've noticed is people back in the day spoke English very well, as in their choice of words and enunciation of conversational English is interesting to hear/ watch. For example, I just watched the video with Konkana and her mom, and her mom is well spoken. There's such a difference between the two generations. Also, admire Shabana Azmi for not letting the inability to have kids take over her.

With all due respect to all journalists and interviewers out there, I truly believe that interviewers these days should learn how to do a proper interview from Simi Ma'am. As the name of the show suggests, it is a rendezvous between two people - the interviewer and the person interviewed. And the communication between both the parties is so flawless. There are no stupid questions asked and neither do the guests scream or shout when they are faced with certain questions. And Simi Ma'am asks personal questions to her guests but never to a point when it is an invasion of privacy. So grateful to Simi Ma'am for this wonderful show and hope someday this show will come back.

Why didn't Simi question them on how they treated Honey Irani, Javed's first wife? How Javed cheated on Honey and abandoned her without any financial support? Honey Irani had to do multiple jobs to feed her children. Shabana was having an affair with a married man with children. She destroyed an entire family. Honey ji says he took responsibility of the children and looked out for her too, though. She says it took some time, but they soon became best of friends who could easily wake each other up at 2 in the night to discuss the next day’s menu. Not really she is someone who really thinks and respond to questions and it's her normal body language .Playing with hair,hands on face ,looking away to thinks and anwers it's quiet common I had seen a lot of her interviews, documentaries ,as an host as well as in award shows and in news .One person cannot be distressed and lost all the time .And the psychology of body language doesn't really fits each everyone out there ,may be suspicious gestures can be someone's normal being or way of common expression especially when some is a good conversationalist which she is .
