This conversation contains experiences so earth shattering and perhaps even self destructive that ordinary human beings cannot even contemplate the level of maturity required to face them or live normally after them. I felt so sorry for Yash Birla Sir's loss at such a young age, it almost brings tears to one's eyes just listening to him narrate the experience. However what strikes me the most is his interest in philosophy from a young age, an age wherein majority of kids nowadays waste their life dancing or lip syncing to trending songs or just gaming away on their laptops. That statement about the soul being eternal is tremendous. It's that one line which saves a person like Yash Birla Sir from self destruction. The very fact that he understood life at such a young age, more than perhaps even people triple his age at that time, connects him to the divine, protects him and restores faith in his heart that one day they all shall meet again. This interview could be life changing for people who feel lonely due to similar experiences or who are feeling neglected or beat down by life.

really? how naively you judge people looking at their tragedy, life seems like a movie to you. He has destroyed and exploited many young boys by luring them to finance their career and sexually used them. Please do your research before you spill out sympathies watching such fake polished english shows who just white wash corrupt people! Sad to see this, only people in the body building industry know what an evil "Men Paagal" Yash is.

The yin& yang balance which he has within and the maturity to deal with such a heart-wrenching situation is tremendous. Thank you for watching this show with the depth it deserves - and not superficially. It is so hard to come to terms with the loss of one parent, as you yourself know, let alone the loss of the entire family. I thank you for your comment, your understanding and your appreciation. Simi Garewal
@Raj-Sahu15710 жыл бұрын
***** Simi-ji I should be the one thanking you for producing such momentous, meaningful, evocative (and often soul-stirring and inspiring---like this one) interviews with some extraordinary people. Thank you for bringing to my drawing room these wonderful people you interview. The show's high production values and visual aesthetics are praiseworthy --yep, it’s visually stunning/spectacular. The other reason your show scores over any other program of this kind ( in my opinion) is that you are not mean and ruthless but gentle and compassionate. I see that in every interview. You are always encouraging and positive. I never saw you degrading / humiliating / asking embarrassing hurtful stuff etc. That doesn’t mean your show is soft or shallow. Not at all! Infact it’s pretty deep, informative and ENTERTAINING, and yet compassionate, dignified, and considerate. In simple words you don’t tear people to bits, as some hosts do (think Tim Sebastian . I wouldn’t have been a fan of your show if you would be doing that. Also I am pretty impressed with the QUESTIONS you ask. They lead to excellent conversations and some amazing responses / disclosures from the guests. Your questions remind me of the saying “A prudent question is one-half of wisdom.” Even Sushmita was pretty taken aback with the questions you asked her in your interview with her :) She is exceedingly intelligent, yet she was stunned (momentarily) by the questions you posed. Obviously you do a thorough research before you shoot. Good job! My heartiest congratulations and profound thankfulness/a[appreciation for bringing this excellent show.

Raj Sahu I am overwhelmed by your beautiful words Raj. By your appreciation of every detail and aspect of the show...from the visual aesthetics, the production values, to the content. You even took account of the tremendous research and 'thinking' I put in prior to the interviews! I was delighted when I received the news today that my channel has just crossed 20 million views KZbin (far beyond my wildest expectation!!). But let me say reading your words gave me equal joy. Thank you. Simi Garewal
@Raj-Sahu15710 жыл бұрын
***** 20 million viewers! Wow! Congratulations!!!!!! Well done! That’s simply astounding/mind-blowing! But then Simi-ji you richly deserve every bit of this incredible success. Honestly I became your fan way before rendezvous with Simi Garewal started. I am sure you remember the gem, the masterpiece, you directed several years ago called “Living Legend Raj Kapoor.” That was some amazing documentary which captured life, times, and the work of the legendary showman Mr. Raj Kapoor. I vividly remember your documentary came along with Mr Siddharh Kak’ s documentary on Raj Kapoor. But was your’s which was absolutely matchless/ outstanding/ superlative. It coincided also with the death of the showman( in 1988) and therefore became even more poignant, potent, powerful and inspirational. I remember watching the documentary in Nagpur (where I lived prior to moving to California) with Mr. Raj Kapoor’s sister Urmila Sial, whom I used to affectionately call “Umi aunty”--- what an awesome person she was. She also lived in Nagpur with her family. Umi aunty was obsessed with her eldest brother Mr. Raj Kapoor-for the person he was --- and I was obsessed with Mr. Raj Kapoor for the film maker he was. So we both watched it (repeatedly!) on the video. Umi Aunty used to say “Simi captured the true charm and magic of Rajji”, and boy was she right! You just made( or shall I say created) a masterpiece there Simi-ji! It was made to PERFECTION. Very impactful, extremely informative, and immensely touching as well. For a movie buff, and a huge Raj Kapoor fan, it was a pure delight to watch the documentary over and over again. Besides it was brilliantly made and NARRATED. I remember the words you used to describe Raj Kapoor (the words still resonate in my mind) ---------“And Raj Kapoor is an institution”. How true. But did you realize that someday you will become a living legend YOURSELF? And that you would become an institution? That’s right in the way you have spawned, produced, directed, and performed/ hosted "RENDEZVOUS WITH SIMI GAREWAL", YOU CROSSED INTO THE REALM OF LIVING LEGENDS, AND BECAME AN INSTITUTION-a glorious example/ source/ resource for youngsters/newbies who would like to learn the art and ability of ( deftly and dexterously) hosting and directing talk shows/ interviews with incredible celebrities/ achievers.
@Raj-Sahu15710 жыл бұрын
Raul Pan I wonder why its "not right" to be gay. Why cant individuals have the right to choose what THEY want and exercise their choices. Why does one have to equate that with morality? is there even a connection? Some of the gay folks ( both men and women) have been exceptional contributors to mankind. I seriously think every human must be allowed to practice freely what they feel and NOT be compelled by the pseudo society ( consisting of thoroughbred hypocrites!) to do what THEY consider is right. In this case Yash Birla, in my humble opinion, is a hero, an achiever, a fighter, and a braveheart. I absolutely SALUTE him. And it does not matter one bit to me if he is gay or not. I agree with you Raul Pan --celebrities who are gay should come out of the closet, proud and fearless of their choices.
