Embroidering on Ballcaps with Happy Voyager Embroidery Machine

Please Im hands in the hair here. I changed out my cap frame for flat frame, but the machine will not allow me to change to flat frame. Im desperate on this stage for help.

Love the Voyager except for this one problem where the machine does not recognize that the regular flat driver is back on. I hit the "plunger" / button underneath the carriage back towards the front so the electric switch should not be touching. But the machine will not recognize and only allow me to choose cap hoops or the onepoint system. Please help, I also heard you all are going to start charging for Over the phone machine support if not purchased directly through Texmac.. pretty bummed about that ...

This issue can easily be prevented by proper installation procedure of the cap driver, which is covered in another video in this playlist "Setting up your 12 or 7 needle Happy machine for sewing caps". For troubleshooting and resolution, of the issue, contact the support department of the company you purchased your machine from.

I have watched the video followed all the proper procedures and talked to your support on the phone and still run into this issue every time I try to change back from the cap driver to the regular driver.

This happened to me a few years back. I had to open up the carriage and replace the plunger. NOW, recently I cannot get the cap frame to engage. It will not read and the plunger is depressed. Thinking this is gonna cost $$$. :( I will be calling tech support tomorrow.

My cap frame is not centered.how can I fix this ?.I have to manually move the frame to the center

Verify that the cap driver is properly centered first by hand - if it is not, you may have to contact support for your machine. The other side of this is to refine hooping technique to properly align the center of the cap with the center mark of the cap frame.

Do I have to change to ball cap on screen or does it change automatic? When I install the ball cap hoop on machine

Cobi - This is what I teach in class: It's like tires on your car - use good general purpose tires for most use including some snow. But switch to snow tires, if expecting to drive for a while in a lot of snow. Embroidering caps on new Happy machines is the same way. The standard needle plate is a good general-purpose one even for ballcap sewing. But if sewing nothing but caps for awhile, you can switch needle plates during that time for a better assurance of good performance.

Usable cap sewing area depends largely on the shape of the ballcap, but the machine shown in the video is capable of sewing an are of 290mm wide x 67mm high when in cap mode.

+Jay Dubb , the HAPPY cap system is only compatible with HAPPY brand machines. As far as I am aware, the Janome mb-4 does not have a ballcap sewing kit like this available as of this time.

I just took my cap hoop out of package. Sounded like the cable popped and now I have loose cable. Is the cable suppose to be on it or was that just for shipping? Why are there no instructions included?? Please message me back asap. Thanks in advance.

Good question. Lots of unanswered questions here. Looks like that arm is supposed to be fixed to the attachment. Also, mine came with 2 metal straps. I remove the cable which I think you are correct in assuming was for shipping. I didn't know to fix the arm to the attachment. I also didn't know I probably should have remove one of the straps because my needle hit one and broke. I was reading in the manual that you're supposed to actually raise the pressure foot up as high as it can go as well as change the needle plate. I wish we would receive more support here but it doesn't look like that's going to happen.
