I find it disheartening to think people have such a negative attitude about aging. Renee is simply accepting the fact that he has matured. Not everyone ages the same and for people to write such mean spirited things about someone is just wrong. I couldn't imagine how she felt when she read some of the hurtful things. She has always been a good actress and I will continue to support her.

Should have did a pregnancy movie earlier . Woukd have made more sense to have Ms. jones trying to get pregnant through different fertility treatments like hormone therapy, maybe struggling to conceive and trying other methods like having a fertilized egg implanted bc that is likely what someone jones' age would be facing. The odds of pregnancy through a one night stand at her age are very unlikely. Maybe show the fear of the possibly of a Down syndrome baby, or some other illness. The mother facing complications. That would be realist bc the odds go up the longer you wait. You don't have unlimited time. Women especially but men also. Their sperm count drops, the quality of the sperm is reduced at 45 or 50. So in this movie we have 2 (3) older people easily conceiving. Reduce quality eggs and sperm. Maybe they have a baby that has a disability idk. I haven't seen it, doubt I will sit through it, surely won't at a theater.

The host of the interview is almost forty six and is obviously pregnant. So older woman can have children . This movie is based off of a book and the character has always been Renee this is fictional story so I mean it's fiction and its humor, so just don't read to much into it.

Actually the new research shows men are more likely to have damaged sperm at older age then women damaged eggs. It's difficult to know the statistics because while many older man have babies with younger women, very few older women have babies with young men. Evolution designed all women to have babies as long as they could so it wouldn't make sense if the risk increased so much with age. Men on other hand didn't have much chance to pass their genes unless they were healthy and strong which changed only because of marriage and patriarchy. Unfortunately there is so much bias in biological field that women's risks are constantly being exaggerated and men's risks ingored. Not that long ago people blamed women for all cases of infertility and problems with the baby. I also wonder how much of what we call age related problems is actually result of our unhealthy lifestyle. It's pretty obvious that the longer the body is exposed to unhealthy environment the more damage it will cause. I think both men and women do get less fertile with age but if they are healthy they should have great chances of having a healthy baby. In my grandmother's generation it was considered totally natural to get pregnant after 40 and nobody made a big deal about it like we do now.
