Beneath a Steel Sky was an old point-and-click adventure style game, complete with utterly pointless objects in the game that didn't do anything but make you wonder just what the hell they were for. Many of the puzzles were pretty opaque, so figuring out how to solve some of them was literally just "try random stuff until something good happens."
