I think farming is boring and that's when I watch KZbin videos on the side but I do genuinely enjoy playing through stories and doing stuff with friends in game. Also, as boring as farming is, you feel somewhat accomplished once you finish.

farming is boring only in aqw tbh, and in my opinion that's because IT'S TOO EASY TO GET GOLD... like literally you kill a butterfly or some random weak shit and it spews 300 gold... I wish gold and potions mattered in the game, but it's so easy to get gold it feels worthless, the only pleasure in farming is when you get access to a new class that's strong like shaman, but in the process you also got enough gold to feed the entirety of Africa

But I think there is a chance for the trading system to work for example farming a certain hard to obtain item for another one which could be equally or close in hardness if that makes any sense for example I have drakath armor and I don't want it anymore or something and I want VHL so I trade this for that or an item which costs acs for another that costs acs so that make it more logical I don't think ae are that dumb their game is failing enough a mistake like that could break the game and get them bankrupt on the long run

Shaman's skill cooldowns are definitely shorter, though EV's skills target twice as many enemies (which I'd say is better or irrelevant depending on where you're farming). And of course for shaman you'd want a mana vamp awe enh.

Alright, I need help I have 775 acs, but if I sell my my obsidian legion vampire and my m4tr1x bloodletters (i dont use them that often) and buy 500 ac (which is the max i can buy right now because that's all the money i have currently) i have exactly how much i need for the blade/drone (i haven't decided). update: if i sell my mounted paragon pet, dungeon destroyer, lightning knuckle daggers and a bunch of helms i don't use i get around 1970; ill probably find something else to sell but there's around 6 helms (one of them is the pink neko helm but i don't mind getting rid of it) now i can farm a bunch of legion tokens before i sell my paragon pet so thats not really a problem - i have around 5000 but i think if i get like 10k ill be fine

I don't think trading would break the game. Cause the price of quest items like the Roetegenium and the Crystals would be so high that it would take you just as long, if not longer to farm to buy them. If they increase the gold cap dramatically to allow for insane prices it'll be fine. Edit: Plus with the fact that people will start preferring to buy quest items rather than grind for them it will force AE to make the game better overall rather than relying on the old brain chemical rewards from grinding for keeping people interested. They''ll before to make the game more fun and they'll be encouraged to balance the game to make scrolls and potions actually important and useful rather than the winmoar buttons they are at the moment.

How I see it, trading is a way for people from both sides (money spenders and crazy farmers) to essentially get what they want. (Example): Individual 1 (Alex): Has a Necrotic Sword of Doom up for trade. Individual 2 (Charlie): Owns a few rare items. (I'm going to assume there's a chat box included in the trade window.) Charlie notices Alex's NSoD is up for sale and sends him a trade request. Alex accepts. Charlie proceeds to ask if there are any items Alex may be looking for. Alex replies with a list of items he is interested in, some of which Charlie owns. Charlie will add one of the items Alex wants and, unless problems arise, complete the trade. Woohoo! Charlie has now gotten a brand new NSoD, and Alex finally got the item(s) he wanted.

+Charm The problem I see is that people see items like the NSoD as a badge of honor. They see it in someone's inventory and they immediately know that they've worked hard for it. This principal is the biggest part of AQW. Showing off your items and how hard you worked for them is, for me, the biggest part of AQW. Trading takes away the certainty of the situation. You wouldn't be able to tell whether someone farmed the items or if they simply traded them for some potentially less hard to farm items.

Even if they didn't get the NSoD badge (like if you IoDA it), most people, I think, wouldn't care to look at their badge, but rather just see the sword in their hand in awe. Not to mention, anybody could potentially get the most powerful dog boost or hard to get items in the game without working for it. Not a fan of that concept. One idea I'd had was to apply a "trade" tag, similar to IoDA, so it's immediately apparent when you click on a character that they didn't earn it. Guess that's up to AE to figure out though.

Trading is useless because everything in this game is cosmetic except for classes. Aqw is very limited since armors and weapons don’t affect gameplay or survivability at all. I think the only people who want to trade are people who’ll spend money to get an item they don’t want to farm for or missed so they want to buy it from a player.

Even though AQW is a MMORPG. People play the game as its a normal RPG game. There's just too much soloing classes in the game, that the only "real fun" in the game is showing off your character to people with end game items,,, that you farm alone or even bot it

I am at the point when I have spent more time working on cencepts for the game than playing it; I find more enjoyment in trying to improve the game. In the past I would be excited for story releases, and would genuinely enjoy the combat; the narrative has seeped into the ground, and the combat has become a simple button mash. I strongly feel that this isn't just the fault of AE, but the community as well. If people continue to support classes such as: VHL and Eternal Chronomancer, then we will continue on the path of a power creep.

Let's say they add class linearity? Like, let's say you begin with a warrior right? Then, all classes you can get if you start as a warrior must be a Warrior type of class and all classes has a clear line which indicates what type of class they are. You cannot ACCESS this class unless you're a warrior, BUT, if you manage to get it in some ways, like let's say ''Trading'', then you can play with it. NOW, Let's add some type of items that boosts classes but only other classes can get these items. Like, let's say there's an orb that boost sword damage for warriors but only Healers can access the area where this item drops. Now you add a value to classes and it makes you wanna play other types of gameplay/want to trade rare things for rare things. And now, all the team has to do is expand on this idea and make various types of gameplay with each and every classes. AND, to make their game much more addictive, create some overpowered shit but make them SO HARD to get that just the most dedicated players can get these items. Lastly, make some type of gameplay accessible to all players and make some type of elite gameplay in which you need different kind of classes and items that has REAL value, instead of just decoration in an inventory, to conquer those type of gameplay. I believe this game would get a much more positive and active community if the game was like this. Everyone would need everyone to play the game. And the game could add the notion of ''Farmers''. People who farms lots of exclusive materials for other players and in exchange other players could give rare items that's worth.

Trading, as I always saw it, trading would be selling more than trading. For example, someone could sell void high lord 10k ac. Korey said that aqw might take a cut of that. He also said that the trading would be more like the steam mp more than trading items for items. So I think trading is retarded but selling isn't that bad of an idea.
