I know the dad scene is obviously the saddest scene but one thing people gloss over, the first time the movie has any serious scene is when he realises the first dog passed away and he starts crying

"Click" did have an interesting concept for a movie. Certainly not original, but a very interesting. A remote that rewinds time, fast forwards time, and even pauses time.

I really hate the "she's out of your league" jabs. They're very shallow and demeaning. I really loved this review. He was spot on about everything. Great emotional movie trying to get out but buried under so much unfunny adult jokes that outstayed their welcome.

The wedding scene at (40:08) is supposed to take place in 2030 or 2031. While the ‘twin freedom towers’ prediction might not completely come true like in this movie, if they were to start building the second twin freedom tower now as of March 2023, they might be a chance they can make the shot at (40:11) come true. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The bad in this movie is pretty bad. But the good, in the last third of the movie, is damn good. Maybe it's thanks to this movie and its message that I made sure to say everything I ever wanted to say to my father before he passed away recently. And I intend to do the same with my mother.

I think there's a lot of people who just don't give movies by Adam Sandler a fair chance because they don't like his immature humor, but he has so many good movies that people just don't give him credit for, even this one. Someone else said something about the movie that i really thought was a very good description. He skipped all the good parts of his life trying to skip the bad. The angel of death thing may be a surprise, but it's not completely out of nowhere, there are hints throughout that Morty is something more than human, and I've always liked the reveal. And it's not like he's cruel, he gave Michael what he asked for, told him it was unreturnable, and warned him that chasing the gold at the end of the rainbow won't give you what you want. You're expecting gold and and get cornflakes. Nothing valuable, and you've wasted your time. If anything, Morty was helping Michael turn his life around by showing what would happen if he continued focusing on his work so much instead of spending time with his family.

Regarding the dramatic scenes, I heard that Adam Sandler originally wanted the movie to be fully dramatic, but the producers didn't like that idea and demanded the cashgrab childish humor he always does. In the end, Sandler agreed on the condition to have one heavy dramatic scene. Not sure if it's true or not, though.
