Tracers recalled has been shown to have taken her back farther. It's been years but I never remember seeing even in the lore, scout having unlimited weapons

Yang Wright except they brushed off Scouts display of endurance cause "well we didn't see for sure..." but Tracer TOTALLY saw that sniper bullet as it left the gun, and TOTALLY dodged it with her TOTALLY obvious reflexes. Her tech, the way she saw Widow line up the shot, and all that, and the fact that even SHE thought the bullet hit her?Pshh... Also they conveniently left out the part when Widow disabled her tech with a simple kick to the wall, so Scouts ability to one-shot bears while freezing to death wouldn't be a pesky factor in his favor.

Indeed. In games with that much customation, they had to draw a line somewhere. Usually this means, that they stick to the "canon" stuff. For example Tifa can wield any materia, but they gave her Fire and Ice only, cause thats the canon set up from the Dissidia-Series. Charizards have two mega-forms, but because Reds had the X-Form they used that one.

Hey, just wanted to say a few things. First off man do I love your videos. I more or less react the same way you guys react. Plus I love the commentary in the videos. How I see this battle, this IS scouts turf, and in game you can pick up weapons on the ground, they also seem to be fighting around storage crates, wouldn't that mean if one broke, and if there were weapons inside that scout could carry, he could switch to said weapon while discarding another weapon: such as throwing away a Scattergun for the Shortstop (primaries), Pistol for Pretty Boys Pocket Pistol (secondaries), and Bat for the sandman etc etc.(Tertiaries) (just my thoughts)

I don't recall you being able to "pick up weapons" in TF2. Ammo maybe, but it isn't like you can switch out guns when you're out in the field and you can really just rotate out your guns if you were back at homebase. Of course in the fight, they could have done that for the sake of showcasing Scout's arsenal, but the point kind of remains that Tracer would be able to dodge a fair amount of shots from Scout, regardless of the gun he chose to use (although they still should have had him use a bit more than his shotgun when she is far away.)

I love how they give Tracer a fake feat (The shot fired was aimed through her heart was like a portal and was done purposely to kill Robo-Ghandi. Tracer NEVER dodged it and if she did, she wouldn't have panicked) and gave Scout a useless feat of drinking 11 Lbs of Sugar. Plus Scout has more variety in weapons.

The music that plays at the start of the fight (in this video 20:22) is Mortified from the game Ansrchy Reigns. Seriously fantastic soundtrack and a lot of death battles ever since Snake vs Sam used 2 of its songs (I think, if I'm remembering correctly) have been using its music.

Remember guys, in Death Battle, when including combatants from games with heavy customization and event-specific stuff, they leave out the event stuff and only use their technical "best" equipment, leaving out any player influence that could affect the result in different ways. That's how they did the Pokemon Battle Royale, that's how Link vs Cloud went, and it's how things were here. (there are more battles with customizable characters, but those are the first ones that came to mind.)

Her Chronol accelerator allows her to have two methods of movement that are independent from each other. She can be out of "Blink" But it still leaves her with "recall". Also during the times she used blink she paused a few good three seconds in between. Giving her time to stack up.

If you recall(no pun intended), they mentioned around six minutes that Tracer is able to jump up to 15 ft in the air. And yes her Blinking is...well... confusing. Like in game she can cross huge gaps or pits by Blinking forward and not actually jump. The best way I can explain it she can Blink in any x and y directions(so think Cardinal Directions...but not z(Height/Depth). She CAN however jump into the air and THEN Blink in whatever direction she likes. (Or let herself fall mid-air and Blink while doing so.) And since this is done so quickly...it could be perceived as teleporting, but it really isn't.

To be fair in regards of the Blink ability, it does seem as though it wasn't explained well enough here. Mind you that he probably didn't see the debut trailer for Overwatch, but we see how while Tracer is falling, her blink ability does actually allow her to blink herself into different positions. If it worked in the way that he thought it did, Tracer using blink would have made it so that she landed on the floor much faster than what happened here, where both ladies falling hit the ground at around the same time. As such, it probably wouldn't be as farfetched to see Tracer be able to blink around Scout in the way she did.

The research team has said that they did take into account the scout's magic and other weapons and tried to come up with different combinations for the weapons. But ultimately, it made no difference as how can Scout hit someone who can react to just about anything he does. Everything in this battle hinged on Tracer's sniper feat in short.

The Death Battle was a clear use of bias towards Overwatch. Scout's speed was the biggest highlight of the research, yet they never show him running. Plus, the inconsistent usage of ingame and lore feats is frustrating, as well as falsely researching the Widowmaker sniper shot reaction where Tracer reacted on seeing the gun pointed at her, not the gunshot.

She waited till the bullet was actually shot so she WAS reacting to the gunshot. She may have had forewarning due to seeing the gun pointed at her but she didn't actually DO anything until the gunshot happened.

She reacted to seeing the gun, the effect didnt happen until the bullet was about to hit her. That wasnt her reacting to the shot, that was just slow mo effects making it appear as though she did. Widowmaker could have shot immediately and Tracer would have been dead, but she was intentionally delaying the shot to line up with the real target and to make Tracer dodge.

Okay, so, you obviously dont know jack about the lore regarding overwatch. Also, they were falling, but it showed it in slow motion, they only fell a few feet of that, from the time the gun was pointed to the shot would've been nearly instant. In all of her cinematics her agility and reaction time are all highlighted heavily. That is what makes her viable to the game, and made her a valuable asset in the lore. Scout is a, untrained, undisciplined, present day mercenary. Tracer is a highly trained, highly disciplined soldier, from the future, with the ability to manipulate time. She has taken out or foiled the plans of another, highly trained, highly disciplined, cold blooded assassin, as they say in the video. This, taking down scout would be a walk in the park with her capabilities.

In the Overwatch official animation created by blizzard called alive tracer is shown doing almost the exact same things that she was in this in there and scout can only carry 3 weapons so and in gameplay the time thing in tracers chest never goes out your abilities have to recharge but her guns that are linked to it only reloaded they never stop working

The fact is the result came down to the point that tracer has a reaction time 25x that of a normal person, that's a massive goddamn advantage and like they said she could avoid anything he could throw at her. He doesn't have them reaction times, he would lose every time. That's why none of his "tech" was used because it wouldn't have mattered.

The battle is always determined before the fight the fight is not real. The end kick where tracer teleports in the air is just for fancy battle show she could have just teleported around the scout and still charge up her ult.

i think that the the scout's stronger, physically, since he can send people flying with a swing of the bat, and killed the bear etc. And that Tracer probably can't dodge sniper bullets AFTER they've been shot from the barrel, since she did see widow maker just before she fired. However Tracer's warping and time reversing abilities nullify everything that the scout can do- and the bomb she uses would render scout unable to continue fighting if it so much as grazed him. Overall, i think that if you remove Tracer's time equipment, she would lose the fight. But with a full armory of equipment, scout doesn't really have any chance. Also, i'm pretty glad scout lost, i made a bet that if scout won, i'd spent a ton of money on an un-needed hat.

A couple things. First, Death Battle can't discuss everything in a 20 minute video, but everything IS taken into consideration for deciding the victor. So just because they didn't discuss everything in Scout's kit doesn't mean that they didn't consider it. They did give him his most deadly and effective gear. Plus, Scout can only carry so many weapons at once, so he couldn't utilize his full arsenal anyway. Also the fight itself is only meant to be cool, it has no baring on who wins, and it prioritizes looking cool over accurately portraying the characters' capabilities, which I thought you guys knew. Second, Tracer's reaction speed and thus her ability to avoid bullets is independent of her time displacement device. If she can react fast enough to dodge BULLETS, then obviously she can dodge BASEBALLS and FISH. Third, If she can avoid and outmaneuver a trained, calculating, high-tech assassin like Widow Maker, who was already aware of Tracer's capabilities, then she can certainly outmaneuver and avoid the efforts of an undisciplined mercenary like Scout, who DOESN'T know about Tracer's abilities. Fourth, as both characters are glass canons, this match is decided by who can get the jump on the other first, as both characters are capable of killing the other almost instantly if given the chance. However, as shown in the cinematics, Tracer has vastly superior mobility, vastly superior reaction speed, and the ability to undo damage as well as teleport with her Recall ability. As such there is no reason to think that she wouldn't have an easier time getting the jump on Scout than he would have getting the jump on her. Fifth, I think you are drastically overrating how invested people are in this match-up. "People will be arguing about this in 50 years." Seeing as how this match-up has only existed for a few months, it seems like a bit of a stretch to say that people will care about it 50 years from now. Heck, I would be shocked if people were still playing either of these games in 10 years. Sixth, this is definitely not something they will come back to, and it is certainly not Goku VS Superman level. People have been arguing about Goku VS Superman for 25 years. Overwatch hasn't even been out for 25 WEEKS. Seventh, it is quite clear that you were biased in Scout's favor, and that blatantly warped everything you said and how you interpreted everything that you saw. Micah was the only one who saw anything clearly. How would a low-tech, undisciplined, untrained mercenary from the present ever defeat a high-tech, disciplined, expertly trained soldier from the future who has TIME BENDING POWERS? This is one of the heaviest stomps in Death Battle history. Guys. Come on. Regardless, I look forward to your reaction to Ken VS Terry, I hope you're a bit more clear-headed when that one comes around. Have a fantastic day! :D

If we were going just gameplay alone and not added the trailers (which arent accurate since not even the most skilled tracers can avoid snipes like that, nor can Scout survive 3 rockets directly) I feel like scout would have the upper hand. He could strafe Tracer's shots quite well, all while using the pistol or his shotgun to deal damage. Tracer can only use her 'teleport' ability 3 times before it needs to recharge, and someome made a video proving no matter what, scout would be able to catch up to Tracer without any problems. Even if hes hit, he can use mad milk instead of his pistol to gain easy hp back. Plus i highly doubt that even if tracer got her special, she eould be able to use it just because of how speedy Scout is

This battle seems a little complicated to showcase. All these other weapons scout has, he can't use all of them. If he were to do so then the death battle will have to have more than just one fight because you have to try a bunch of different weapon sets for Scout. That can be very time and resource consuming. It's not such a good battle to be honest but I can see why it didn't do much.

+Renegades React Just wanted to point out that it seemed like they were basing Tracer off the Overwatch Shorts more than the game itself. Hence why she actually had some semblance of verticality with her blink. And why they gave her tech the burnout feature. If you re-watch the shorts with her (especially the Widowmaker one), Tracer can fight the way she does in this Death Battle. If they were going based solely off the games, no contest, Scout obliterates Tracer just off weapons alone. But they were treating them as characters with actual sentience and free movement unhindered by the rules of a video game. As such, I think they had the correct outcome. Scout's myriad array of weapons and tech is rendered irrelevant when you take into account the fact that Trace would never allow him to escalate to his biggest and best. And, if you think about, that's the biggest advantage one has when one has a limited arsenal: You're more apt to go for the match ender earlier in the fight. Scout, in his arrogance and machismo, would ramp up to the big stuff. Tracer, on the other hand, only has two weapons: Her Pistols and her Pulse Mine. Seeing him ramp up, she would just Mine him and end it. And as we saw in the Death Battle, there is NO WAY Scout can avoid the Pulse Mine. And to this end, I would also like to point out that they threw Scout a massive bone by restricting Tracer to one game mechanic: she had to build up to the Pulse Mine the second time. Even with that huge restriction placed on her, Scout still didn't stand a chance. And let's be honest, if you strip the video game mechanics away and just put them as two characters fighting, Scout's toast ten times over because Tracer just Mines him repeatedly until he's dead.

ForeverDegenerate but the thing is... Scout can withstand Heavy and Saxton Hale pulling him from both sides(Heavy from his legs and Saxton from his neck with a rope) without any damage except he couldnt breath and Saxton Hale can jump off planes, punch through planes and casually wreck massive animals with his bare hands. The only thing Tracer has is her "bullet dodge" which is BS cause if you pay attention WidowMaker pauses before shooting(probably cause she wanted to take down the droid).

The scout should have had the advantage kit wise... 2 shotguns one of which is "high powered" so literally all he had to do was spam buckshot in her general direction and do "small damage". (small damage to a 150 health no armor unit like her is quite heavy) 1 long range handgun meaning if tracer retreated distance to avoid shotguns and their spread she would then be out of her weapons effective range... while he still has a whole nother weapon capable of long range. Tracer lacks 3d mobility. She cant jump higher than average, she cant run much faster than average, and as they described in the breakdown. "She does not teleport, but instead speeds up time for her self for a split second." So she cant blink from ground level to a second story balcony because she "should be" only able to reach places that she can run to. Yet the scout has double jump and "quintuple jump" AND shotgun jump. He should have easily been able to stay out of her blink range. Not only these things but the scout had to wait before he could drink his second bonk ... while tracer could blink WAY more than 3 times. So they held the scout to his balance limitations but tracer just had free blinks. Another thing when Zenyata uses his ult and becomes invulnerable Tracer cant build her ult off of him... yet she could build ult off an invincible Scout? Lastly when tracer was speed blitzing scout t the end im pretty sure if he had started swinging his bat like a mad man he would have out DPS tracer.
