7:33-7:35 THIS moment genuinely freaked me out when I first watched it. Almost all of Earth’s predatory animals would NEVER be bold enough to try and kill its prey if it’s in the middle of a dense herd, much less if it’s a fucking phalanx of fully grown adult triceratopses. But this thing just bolted right into that very phalanx and casually ripped one of them in two. That’s when I knew this was no ordinary predator. This thing isn’t just good at killing, it’s CERTAIN of that fact; certain enough to forego conventional hunting and just casually start slaughtering.

The thing about the Night Feeder, is that in some info/rumors, it's the Compy from the middle of the episode, but the green moon is supposed to act like a werewolf, transforming into that monster under the green full moon. It was also said that it spat venom or something, which is what covered Fangs' face. The "Triceratops", are somewhat of a cross between several Ceratopsians, Triceratops, Pentaceratops, & Diabloceratops. Side note, the Zombie dinosaurs of Plague of Madness are Parasaurolophus (the Duckbill zombie), & the Sauropod (Long-Neck zombie) is Argentinosaurus (supposedly the LARGEST Long-Neck dino in the fossil record!) Still this series is FANTASTIC! Can't wait for the next season, & your reaction to episode 10!

Ok so let poke a couple of holes in this whole compy theory. Firstly just because the compy was seen in that once scene doesn't mean that it's the night feeder just because of similar shape. Also it's voice would've been deeper than the compy's( like cats and big cats hence the name). If the compy would've been turned it s vocal cords would've been stretched thus making a lower sound. Secondly if it was the goo, wouldn't make sense to show a shot of it anywhere in the episode, so that the connections start to click?

I despise people who purely hunt for sport. It gives hunting a bad rep and encourages people with no experience in hunting to be overconfident when they say to my face that hunting is wrong, which only pisses me off more when I know that proper hunting helps the environment and the population. Hunting even leads to jobs depending on context. People are shocked when I explain to them about wild boar overpopulation, and that’s just one of many problems that only get worse if we *don’t* hunt. Freaking DEER overpopulation has an effect on the environment, but everyone is like, “Don’t kill Bambi!” Don’t get me wrong. Animals raised in captivity are the exception, and I won’t deny that hunting can feel melancholy at times, but I can’t stand people who think hunting doesn’t have a positive effect on our world.
@kyanshi2 жыл бұрын
No, please, do kill bambi but only if you have a tag for him. People would be shocked to learn that white tailed deer are in the top 5 most dangerous animals in North America because when the population booms, there is an increase in vehicular collisions. Not only that but controlling the population prevents the animals from outgrowing their resources and starving to death. Let's not even started on Yellowstone, how they though killing all the wolves would benefit the environment but no even 50 years later they did a double take and realize they fucked up. I'm for hunting as long as you use the resources, but if your in it for the glory, you ain't no real Hunter! Anyone who claims hunting is only killing, is a naive fool who doesn't know the first thing about what actually helps the environment.

@@kyanshi Exactly. That's why the Night Feeder had to die; not just because of self-defense, but because it was needlessly killing innocent animals beyond what it needed for food. I forget the specifics, but an article came out somewhat recently calling into question a lot of the established species in the Ceratopsid family. Essentially the argument was that fossils previously believed to be from distinct species may have just been from a single species at various points in its development, such as Protoceratops or a similar species of hornless Ceratopsid was a juvenile Triceratops that had yet to develop horns, or that the Triceratops itself is an adolescent stage of another species that hasn't fully developed all the spines and horns of a full adult. Just a theory, but still something to think about.

On one hand, I agree with you. The creature's design could be a lot more creative and/or scary. But after seeing it a second time, I think I realized something: The scariest part about the creature isn't what you see, but rather what you don't see. The whole purpose of this episode is to showcase that you can create a scary monster without relying on visuals. That's why they never show the creature until the end of the episode -- it's not supposed to LOOK scary, it's supposed to SEEM scary!
@nemanjastanimirovic1553 жыл бұрын
@@MrNukedDuck I mean as a showcase it's wery affective. My issue is that they showed the monster at all and that the monster they show just doesn't live up to the intrigue it build up in the episode. Hell,practically no design would live up to the hype, but the thing is they didn't have to show anything. Over the episodes run time the monster was captivating from his unnatural calls, freakish power to track and kill anything and the fact that it was made out of tar. It was shown to be essentially different than any other living thing that we saw in primal, which got everyone's minds racing to figure out what it is and then the reveal just ruins it.

I enjoy the sport in killing certain animals, but there has to be a purpose other than just fun. If it’s rattlesnakes overpopulating an area with kids, pets and livestock, it’s fine, but don’t waste the animals, tan the hides and cook the meat. Same if it’s coyotes or raccoons, if you have something important that you need to protect. Bugger the relocation crap, they’ll either come back or be invasive somewhere else. It’s not the death you’re causing you should enjoy, just the achievement, the victory, if that makes any sense. And anyone with a brain in their head knows not to let animals suffer. I’ve lost too many animals to tolerate psycho pleasure killing in real life. If it’s without purpose and the animal is causing no harm, or if you can’t or won’t harvest it, leave it alone. Period.
