This is just sad… Context for anyone who wants it; These voices lines are from the card game (at least that’s what i think) so if you only play the MOBA and are confused why you never heard them before that’s why. The reason why Renekton hates Nasus is that millenia ago Xerath was in such a powerful rampage that to seal him away someone had to personally hold him down and consequently be sealed away with him,Renekton offered himself to be the one to do this sacrifice. For thousands of years Xerath kept whispering lies into Renekton’s ear,telling him about how Nasus betrayed him,that he never loved him etc,and even a strong soldier like Renekton couldn’t handle the situation he was in combined with Xerath’s constant torment,so after some time his mind just broke,he went mad and started to believe every single thing Xerath said,now since both of them have been freed by Cassiopeia Renekton hunts down Nasus in hopes or "settling the score",the saddest thing is that before all of that Renekton loved Nasus unconditionally,he’d do anything for his dear beother,and the feeling was of course mutual. But now the Renekton that would rip out his own heart if it was to save his brother wants nothing more than to rip Nasus’ heart out instead. (Btw sorry for any English errors,it’s not my first language,and also sorry for any possible details that i may have gotten wrong about their story,it’s been a while since i personally read their Lore) [Btw check out the interaction between Nasus and Renekton in the card game,see what Renekton says when Nasus dies,and see what Nasus says when Renekton dies,i promise you won’t regret it]

@@inbeing3464 She was assigned with the mission retrieving some ancient Shuriman artifacts by the Black Rose,so Cassiopeia searched for them and stumbled upon the place where Xerath and Renekton had been sealed away,idk if she knew that they were there but she undid the seal (also that’s how she got cursed into looking like how she looks now) and consequently freed Xerath and Renekton.

This is really sad 😔 tbh despite it not being truly solitary, Renekton's imprisonment better reflects the negative effects of solitary confinement on the mind rather than Sylas or Veigar

Yesn’t,minds are complicated and everyone is different,some can turn out "sane" but also hurt and angry like Sylas,some may appear goofy because they’ve just gone absolutely mad like Veigar,and some are just confused,angry and even a bit scared in a weird and innocent way like Renekton,none or these is more valid than the other,all of them suck :/

He didn’t, Renekton sacrificed himself to save Nasus by locking himself up with Xerath. Xerath over time poisoned his mind and made him think Nasus betrayed him
