I think currently they have fine lore, maybe a short story or two between the two in the past would be good. However as it stands currently, the most recent lore we have is Sylas & Winter's claw, The ruination, and Spirit Blossom in Ionia. Otherwise everything regarding Shurima so far (excluding Renekton's new story) is relatively like 8ish years in the past? Azir revived Sivir and the Sun Disc a few years back, so now this new lore of Azir's soldiers and captains are really nice to see. I think if they were to update Shurima lore it would have to be something like the Ruination, where it is kind of a focus they have for a year, given it's quite a major plot point.

I had a very similar want to this. It would be really cool to have a sort of "redeemed" version. I think the best place for it would be a Legendary Guardian of the Sands Renekton or something. It's Shuriman but still has a shinier look. Or a unique skin entirely but League hasn't done that in a very long time excluding Volibear. Getting a GoS Nasus with Renekton would be cool too as I feel like they should have more relatable skins than Just Scorched and Infernal.

@@ferrissmith3517 Now that would conflict with main lore. If one day Renekton and Nasus reconciled, that would render your Guardian of the Sands skin(-line) both thematically and story-wise useless. (Also Pharaoh Nasus exists already - 2 sand-themed skins seem unnecessary) I don't think Riot would create an alternative universe for the two either~. They have A LOT of contents to move Shurima story forward: the brothers, Xerath, Icathia/the Void, Ixtal(?), the underworld (by LoR expansion), etc... Would be too much for developing two universes that aren't uniquely distinct.

Actually though, in the recent story “With Teeth”, Riot implies Renekton still has somewhat respect to Nasus, just exactly like how a little brother respect the older one. When others taints the past accomplishment of Nasus, Renekton gets so angry, and there are some reminiscing vibes from Renekton’s quote. Very well done narrative.

Its interesting to see the personality change in Nasus when he hits level 3. Its not huge, but its almost like he has moved on.
