I think the problem with going full Renekton like in this deck is that out of the 3 Ascended champs, Renekton is by far the least reliable to level up and cards like Exhaust and Ruthless Predator are good, but really low value. Renekton is super powerful if he levels, but he's also very easily disruptable. Azir's levelup is effectively unstoppable and Nasus quickly grows past most removal. I run Nasus and 3x Ascended's Rise in my Sun Disc deck, and I geared more heavily into Nasus as I played the deck. I think Ascended's Rise is the only remotely consistent way to level Renekton and Nasus, which does not mean much tbh, Sun Disc Shurima just isn't very good yet. But playing a 7 mana slow spell is a lot less disruptable than dealing 12 damage with a 4/4 that has a massive "REMOVE ME" neon sign over it's head.

Nasus is underated in this deck. Syphon strike, allegiance card, and shaped stone really help. The minus attack can be huge and it makes sure you can draw 2 champs to level the sun disc more consistently.

in slower matchups the heliophant does actually make a huge difference. 3 heliophants is almost the same as fully leveling a champ, and with predicts it's not as hard to hit 3 of them as you think. In matchups where they can always kill Renekton before he levels he is so useful, because Azir will almost always level and the heliophant can sometimes be enough with just azir level alone.

To disprove your claim that Nasus is only an atrocity champion, here are some base ideas worth trying out with him WITHOUT shadow isles: - Nasus + Renekton in a Demacian deck with dragon chows (which count as slays), single combat, ways to give challenger to Reggeton, and a sun disc. With 2 ascended champs activating the sun disc can be done pretty consistently, the idea here is to use Demacian striking cards and challengers to get slays, then pull away fearsome blockers to guarantee the nexus strike with THICC Nasus, or just trigger the sun disc :) Remember that once the Sun Disc triggers you draw 1 of your ascended champions, so having multiple of them on board is not actually useless. - Zed + Nasus with Dragon's Rage, Jeweled Protector, Shiphoning strike, Fae Guide and Ghost, ELUSIVE NASUS! There are 2 win conditions here, 1 is the elusive Nasus, 2nd is Dragon's Rage which is basically Ionian atrocity, Zed is there for the early game and getting some slays, maybe there is a better champ to use in his place though. Remember that just 1 Jeweled Protector and 1 successful Shiphoning strike already turns Nasus into an 8-8 even if you had no previous slays! Also, you get to have 9 spell denying cards at once xD - Nasus and LeBlanc join the Noxkrya Arena, this is a simple idea to utilize many power boosts from Noxus to lvl up Nasus, and make him strike the weakest enemy every turn which will just keep making him bigger and bigger. Also giving him Overwhelm can be pretty devastating, Kato the Hand and Might are very good picks here too. And on top of that duping a lvl 2 Nasus with Mirror Image will give enemies -2 power, and it's possible for him to generate one every time he strikes. Not sure but maybe those should be 2 decks, one for LeBlanc synergy and the other for the Arena. - Aphelios + Nasus hear the Destiny's Call, quite simply use Calibrum to get some slays, use this meme +8+8 spell on Nasus, give him overwhelm and lifesteal with moon weapons, and 1-shot the enemy nexus like that xD ALSO REMEMBER that both Spirit Fire and Raz Bloodmane give enemies -2 power and Nasus is Fearsome :)

Do you want to wait for 25 turns to finally be able to level them to 3? The rest of your ideas look like meme decks but they are worth playtesting. :)

Just wanted to point out the nuance of going for the Ancient Hourglass to protect Reggaeton before the Arachnoid Sentry stun goes off; a low-level player like me would allow the stun to go off to try and bait the Ravenous Flock after. But, Mogwai kept in mind that Ancient Hourglass creates an EXACT copy of the unit, so if Reggaeton gets stunned then he'll be stunned again when he goes out of stasis, making him susceptible to another easy Ravenous Flock. I know it seems like such a minor thing that maybe most people would do the same play, but I sure as hell didn't consider it so I just wanted to point out Mogwai's foresight there as a player.

I'd run more than 1-off hourglass. It can trigger hierophant and ambassador again if used on them, which can be pretty neat in some situations.

Wouldn't say nasus is terrible, only if you are playing for the 7 mana ascend win condition. Ive been playing a slower form of the deck that tries to out grind your opponent through siphoning strikes and nasus, and level the champions naturally without the 7 mana ascend card. Nasus has been putting in the work for the deck, especially if he gets the +2+2 buff from the golden ambassador. His level 3 form is also really good for stabilizing in the late game as your opponent completely loses the ability to win with units and must win through burn as their units have so little attack.
