May I point out that's not a "cooling off period" - it's a "prohibition period" Cooling off is a period one can change their mind about an agreement/arrangement without penalty Prohibition period is the time span one is prevented from an action In short cooling off is empowering whereas prohibition is restrictive.

The easiest way is to go to Thailand border and get married with your Malaysian wife and the marriage certificate and bring it kl and pay the file to get the main marriage certificate after 6months clear your overstay with the immigration and go back to your country and apply for marriage visit visa and come back to Malaysia then apply
