Eric Weinstein is a mathematician, economist, science policy expert and a frequent public speaker on a variety of subjects within the sciences.
Dr Weinstein was formerly a co-founder of the Sloan Sponsored Science and Engineering Workforce Project at Harvard and the National Bureau of Economic Research, a co-founder and principal of the Natron Group in Manhattan as well as a visiting research fellow at Oxford University in the Mathematical Institute. Since completing a PhD dissertation in the Mathematics Department at Harvard in 1992, he has held research positions in Mathematics, Physics, and Economics departments (at MIT, Hebrew University, and Harvard respectively). He delivered the Special Simonyi Lectures at Oxford University in 2013 putting forth a theory he termed “Geometric Unity” to unify the twin geometries (Riemannian and Ehresmannian) thought to ground the two most fundamental physical theories (General Relativity and the so-called Standard Model of particle theory, respectively). He has been asked to address the National Academy of Sciences on five occasions on the future of scientific and academic research at elite institutions within the United States.

As I listen to this, all I can think is: imagine if THIS was our national conversation rather than what we have now. We would have a different country.
@nateTheNomad23

A national discussion of such caliber would definitely be indicative of a different diffuse intelligence working away within the social organizational, information dissemination, shared narrative level of the country, no doubt. It would include, transcend, and highlight the actual issues and ways toward exploring tangible avenues of approaching them from a balanced perspective.

I'm ashamed to admit I was devestated when I heard Nicole was chosen as RFKs running mate because I hadn't heard of her and thought he really needed an establisned politician to have a genuine chance (I know that sounds crazy on many levels). Listening to how thoughtful and intelligent she is, I'm devastated all over again because I live in world where someone of her caliber exists in the political spectrum, and yet, the gatekeepers in the mainstream media turn a blind eye to her while elevating the people who... well you know. 😢 Dear God, deliver us from this insanity!!! This all originates from the problems discussed here.

I think we're all making a big mistake with regards to worshipping others visions. From my observations we're much more dynamic bottom up than top down. In this way Jordan Peterson has paved the way with regards to the importance of our individual responsibility to build a better world from effecting what we can from our respective little corners. An idea of what good and evil is might be the key, particularly when writing our stories. Given that we all see the world through a story the overarching narrative has to be compelling enough to have broad appeal. This might be why we have civilisation in the first place, because of the religions competing for that place. This is an inconvenient bleak hypothesis if we have a rational mindset, but it does look to me that we're increasingly unable to underpin the narrative with shared ethics without the abstraction of God in the picture. It doesn't matter if God is just another competing narrative or a tangible spiritual force. The results of his cultural death are all around us... In other words were actually seeing the results of the "Tower of Babel" story in real time.

Hillary Clinton gave her endorsement to Kamala Harris with the guarantee that she would be her pick for running mate on a HARRIS CLINTON ticket. This will be a Democrat version of the relationship between George W. Bush and Dick Cheney. If you have seen the film _VICE_ there is the scene where Cheney rejects the V.P. position as an empty ceremonial role, but says he is prepared to accept it so that George can focus on domestic policy and he is left with managing foreign policy. This is where the power of the Presidency resides, so effectively Dick was shadow President, and so would Hillary be, whilst Kamala messed around with population reduction through promoting Transgenderism and Abortion.

Not gaslighting them into a divided population, some of which cooperates and concedes to the gaslit experience they are offered, some which resist and rebel in useful and useless ways, while the remaining segment is too afraid or confused to do anything other than tolerate what little they are handed. This is an amazing conversation between Eric, who is one of my favorite people in the world, and Nicole, who is now one of my new most favorite people in the world. Let me say that first, that you two are representatives of the best of humanity, and I love you both... With respect to the problems you are addressing here, these problems were created over decades, and they are going to take decades to fix (and possibly a war), while technology is changing so fast we don't even know what world we will be living in tomorrow, let alone decades from now. Regardless, we must first address the fundamental problems with our society, just as you must address the fundamental problems with a person if you want to fix an individual. If we were talking about an individual, first and foremost we would be talking about mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, social, sexual and financial health. If you want to fix a person, you must fix those aspects of his or her health first, as well as eliminate addictions. So what are the similar aspects of our society that are broken, ie., the mental, emotional, physical, etc., health of our society? Well, as you may imagine, if the people in the society are sick emntally, emotionally, physically, socially, etc., and addicted, which is true, then those sick people will create a sick society that falls apart, just as the individual's life falls apart. So why is no one talking about this? Why is no one but me (and maybe Daniel Schmactenberger) talking about the fact that the people in our society are sick, and addicted (not to mention that companies like FB are Tik Tok are legally allowed to create those addictions, which is insanity), and if you want to fix the society, then you need to fix the people, starting with an age 5+ education system that produces mentally, emotionally, physcially, etc. healthy adults? At the same time we are properly educating our youth, we need to figure out how to get the losers, the sellouts, the corrupt and all the rest out of their positions of power, ideally without a war (or if we need one, then so be it). And we also need to create regulations so that it is not legal to sell addictions (I'm talking about you, FB), especially to kids (pick a cereal company). This is the only strategy that has any hope of creating a decent society 2-4 decades from now, 🙏

You put into words all of the things I didn't know how to express verbally when it comes to my feelings about "dissidents." Children are able to generate novel ideas effortlessly. Not because they adhere to sets of rules applied to everything in existence, but because everything is perfect for play, just as it exists. We come to employ guard rails over time, for the sake of safety, efficiency, profit, etc, but we seem to be overcompensating - for the sake of short term gains that began to dry up the moment disruptive and creative perspectives were no longer tolerated within any given space. This was so refreshing. I absolutely loved this talk. ❤

It's so sad learning that Eric wasn't allowed to talk about Biden's decline. Everyone I know has been saying it too, although without repercussions. I had no idea Eric was not allowed to speak about this 😥

This was such a cool conversation to hear - for many reasons, none the least of which is being able to see Nicole’s mind & meaningful conversation, in a context & covering content that feels organic & authentic, while covering complex ideas not typically retreaded in most discussion from political figures. ❤⚡️

Thank you Nicole for doing this wonderful interview and especially for talking about Bernie selling out. I rarely if ever hear anyone talking about this, and it's something that stung so bad. After everything the DNC did to him, he still went back to them and gave them everything and even adopted some of their culture war policies.

I put Bernie and Tulsi in the same category and I’ve never trusted them. Their campaigns always seemed convenient to me. Great they challenge the discourse a bit but it’s always self serving. Kennedy and Shanahan get continuous black eyes for their efforts and they don’t give up. They are earning serious good karma💚🙌🏽💚

Pretty good interview, Eric is always an interesting guest but bummed your audience didn't get to see him bust out his harmonica to play a tune. I actually had no idea who Nicole was before listening to this podcast but have to say i am genuinely interested in looking more into her and RFK after listening to this. Stoked to hear the plug for Rudolf Steiner and his book The influences of Lucifer and Ahirman. One more thing. I want to hear more about how we can bring the bring attention to the UAP/NHI disclosure topic. It is the most important topic political leaders should be talking about. Bringing this topic to the public sphere has the greatest potential to bring change to humanity's future for the better.

Regarding the gaslighting on Biden's decline, I think Chomsky's discussion of the media propaganda model (i.e. media serving government power rather than the more traditional adversarial approach) in Manufacturing Consent and also Necessary Illusions are very relevant. Also, with respect to better compensation for scientists, it can be partially addressed in the same way as for baristas-- by a dramatic reversal in the wealth inequality experienced for the last four decades. For example, achieving universal health care, eliminating student debt and managing inflation will help everybody. But I do take Dr. Weinstein's point about enhanced compensation and strongly agree about getting back to unfettered Blue Sky research. Great discussion. I learned a lot!

Let me tell you both, there are professors in universities, in humanities that could fearfully share the stresses of getting freshmen that can’t read or write, and how administrators press them into watering the syllabus and curriculum ti middle school levels. Additionally, these are private universities, charging upwards of 72K!

I am watching this because of a comment Eric made on a podcast the other day. I honestly didn't know RFK had picked a VP and was astounded when I saw this podcast, clicked on it and saw your total sub count and the view count. I am not sure what your background is, but you are someone that we need in Washington , 100%. I am a lifelong voter of republican's over my 20 year voting career. I am 40 and am very socially liberal, fiscally conservative , and a bill of rights absolutist , especially the 1st and 2nd amendments, which in my view protect all of our rights and why they are 1st and 2nd. That was not by accident. This podcast needs to spread like a wildfire as well as your message Nicole. I look forward to digging deeper into your background and learning more of your thoughts. As to the last thoughts of this podcast, sometimes I truly believe things happen for a reason and I truly believe that . That is one thing I disagree with Eric on, but is not what this comment is about. I think we had to go through the last 10-12 years to get to this point. A point where normal people who love this country, love the constitution, can agree socially we are not all the same but can respect everyone's rights to do as they want with their life, believe in a free speech society where there is open ,honest, and brutal , if required, discourse in a respectful way. Believe in the second amendment and everyone's right to keep and bear arms without these nit picky laws on "assault Weapons" or my personal believe that the ATF needs to be abolished and reformed. Smaller 3 letter agency government, which is , imo the core of all the issues in this country. That is just to name a few, I am sure other people have more to add or may disagree with something but I think at the core, there is a huge percentage of the population that would fit into a party like that. One that does not have the far right view points or the far left view points. If we can get enough people to see that and I think with RFK backing Trump, hopefully Trumps base will see RFK and his base are much more alike than they think and together we can call put a end to this woke ideology in this country for good this election and looking forward in 2028 when all the Trump people are going to appear lost. We need to unite now and make this bond strong so the right does not get swooped up by the establishment.

Kamala is far smarter than she is portrayed. She is owned by the Democratic cult and this war with herself is what we experience. I saw her do many good things when I worked in San Francisco. She truly cared about children no one cares about. But she chose her path and that path has a very high price.
