I mean I played the game for 3 months solid after release. I really enjoyed it even though there were issues with performance and at level 234 I wad stuck on matters of the heart because there was some kind of glitch were I could not finish the quest line. I shelved the game for a long time and now with the update May 15th I got back into it and started a new game plus with my leveled up charachter and am now enojying the game once again. Looking forward to vehichles and new story lines and more! keep up the good work with positive commentary...

I absolutely love this game. Before playing this game I was playing Elder Scrolls and also love that game but I find myself playing Starfield more than Elder Scrolls I can't wait for the land vehicle I hope that it's done well.

Bethesda made me a believer again. I’ve been playing their games since Elder Scrolls Morrowind. I thought they gave up on this game, but they honestly surprised me. The story still suffers but I think Shattered Space will rectify it. My character is currently at level 96 and even though I haven’t done new game plus, I’m still enjoying it. I probably won’t ever complete the game unless I get a mod that lets me keep everything. This is not just a game; this is a multifaceted experience.

Definitely a great game, and even better now after the last update especially with the extreme difficulty and the survival style gameplay options. This was fun when it released, but now it is way more fun now in my new playthrough with most of the new settings on.

Honestly i bought Starfield last night and i think it's alright so far. Does it deserve the hate it get's? No. Everyone loves Fallout New Vegas but who remembers the nightmare that came with the launch for that game? How about Cyberpunk? People like to forget about the bad stuff when games are improved overtime. It certainly doesn't help when people DEPEND on their favourite streamer telling them this game is bad due to the streamer's experience. People need to try games out for themselves because they get a different outcome. How do i know? Cyberpunk release date. Everyone talking about game breaking bugs, etc and then there was me. At the time rocking a 1060 GTX, with 16GB RAM. Only had ONE CRASH during the story of Released version Cyberpunk. Here's something that'll be hard for everyone to understand.. People have different taste in games. I know, shocker. Just like some people prefer metal music and others prefer Drum & Bass. Just because you personally don't like the game, doesn't make it a bad game. So, again, If you want to complain about a game, at least try it first and document what you dislike about it. I don't mean play for 20 minutes and call it quits, i'm talking play it for at least a week. But yes, I'm enjoying starfield and i completely agree with the gun combat, it's fun imo.

The 60fps Visual and new maps... Damn! Not Joking! I discovered around 50 unique locations since the new maps! 😮 Not marked on the map, just random stuff, I would never have seen without the new maps!🎉❤ Fyi: Half a century old gamer, played 10.000ths of games and Doom1 at 14fps 😂

Only thing the rover is going to do is make planetary exploration faster, which is needed, some locations are way too far. I didn’t really enjoy the planetary exploration before this update, the surface map and the scanner update now telling you exactly what a location is; has improved the exploration so much for me!

@@4badlisting650 true it will make exploration faster. But from what I’ve been reading, I believe it will allow for extra resource holding as well as companions to travel with you. Possibly more than one.

I love this game but the only problem is that after latest update I get a lot of infinite loading screens and have to restart game.

Playing on S/X with Uncapped FR(120Hz)/Visuals options, VRR and FreeSync on a 55" LG C3. First thing I noticed was how buttery smooth the mobility is, in and out of combat. It's a real joy to parkour around the terrain now.

I got this game as a bonus with my 7900XTX when I purchased it back in Sept (or thereabouts). I've only logged like 45 in game, not because of all the negativity, but simply because my backlog was/is the size of the Library of Congress. Renfail is here really making me want to move Starfield up the priority queue, lol. Hats off to Bethesda for working hard on this.

Further proof of how people see things differently. I had no issues with Gunplay at 30 BUT the interaction with objects or trying to be precise indoors with objects felt really off to me. This Update has made that but much much better for me.

Consider that 35mm film is playing at 24 FPS, 30 FPS is not bad at all. We who remember when the cinemas all used 35mm film projectors, all the way up into the late 90's, never complained that they where unwatchable because of the frame rate.

Playing vs watching is a totally different experience. Movies feel odd if they are above 30fps. But if games are below 60 fps, they can feel laggy.

People naturally their opinion to be validated. There are very few things in entertainment which are truly objective. Frame rate is one of them, hence a lot of people's fixation on it.

@@brandonconn6780 What creates the lag feeling in games is the fluctuation in FPS, not how high the FPS is in average. Even If you have 120 FPS when standing still but it drops to 60 FPS for a fraction of a second when you turn around quickly it will make you feel lag. It's that with games that are locked at 30 FPS can bottom out easier and dip below 10 FPS when allot is going on at the same time. You need a minimum of at least 9 FPS for the eyes to experience an animation of still pictures.

Appreciate your take on the game. I enjoyed it quite a lot when it came out and although it wasn’t perfect, it seemed to me most people online just wanted to see it fail I guess because Bethesda made it. Your genuine approach to it is refreshing. Cheers.

I think Starfield is solid. I was a little disappointed in some areas but im so starved of a space syfy that hit most of checkpoints. NMS, Elite Dangerous, Star Citizen, they have better space and spaceship mechanics for sure but there's just something that burns me out from all those that Starfield takes longer to do. Starfield would have melted my mind anytime before 2016 probably so I look at it like that. Could have been better but I'm glad to be able to play it. Keep the updates coming and I'll keep playing.

The updated ground maps, difficulty settings including new survival mechanics, and the addition of rovers in a future update are all really good QOL improvements that I think show Bathesda really is listening to player feedback, even if it didn't seem like it at first. As for the complaints about the Settled Systems feeling empty, I get the feeling a lot of that has to do with this being just the first version of the first game in a brand new franchise; I feel like Bathesda is intentionally holding quite a bit of stuff back for DLCs, from cities/settlements we haven't seen yet to storylines that will further expand on things like the multiverse or what happened to Earth.

Finally someone who enjoys this game as much as I do! I love fallout and elder scrolls to death but Starfield might be my favorite Bethesda game and one of my favorite games of all time. I hope they don’t give up on in after 2024 is over and they continue to update it and work on more dlc for 2025!

I'm honestly gonna wait a bit for mod support, but what they have done has made me more hopeful of this game's future. The modding potential is insane, and this is the first time we had vehicles so imagine what modders will later along the line with them.

I adore Starfield. I’ve got 11days worth of hours in the game so far. My only gripe (and doubt it’ll change) is (TLDR - I hate that you lose all your gear for NG+): I hate the NG+ system. Losing all your loot and gear is a horrible system. Defeats the purpose of NG+. I know you keep your level and skills but that’s not the same. I’ve dumped sooooo many hours and credits and outposts and ship building etc into my latest run that the thought of doing more NG+ runs to max out all my powers is just not worth it. I’m not willing to lose the hundreds of legendary items I’ve got and all my outposts just to level up my powers. Basically - I wish you could level up everything without losing all your gear. I want max level powers but I’m not willing to trade all the amazing gear and loot I have to do this. Other than that I love this game. It’s all I’ve really played since launch

It's a great game def has that Bethesda magic baked in. I look forward to xbox mods, I still play fallout 4 to this day thanks to it's endless mod community. Really makes every play through unique. Starfield with mods will be insane!

After release I stopped playing it after a month. Felt so empty. I reinstalled it once mod support finally came. I noticed that on random planets have more bases to explore with enemies to fight. Like 6 to 8 bases to explore each time I landed somewhere. One place had 12. I assume Bethesda added more things. On release it was mostly just 1 random cave and 2 places to scan. I'm liking it now. My only gripe now is the profanity is muted in dialogue but visible in subtitles. It's a rated M for a reason. Bethesda wants it to be PG 13.

This game is so great...my only real problem with it was the astronomical number of loading screens we we're obliged to endure...here comes the May update, with 3d maps and with waypoints to fast travel to them directly. Yeah...before it was a loading screen simulator, I acknowledge that...and now you can say: "Yah from loading screen simulator to fast travel simulator" but ppl... the game is really great, not all Quests are top notch...but what game has them "ALL" top notch. PPL Just enjoy it...I freaked out when friend of mine said I just reach 500 hours on it 🤪 Just go...Go into the Starfield! 🥰Love you all!

Do you prefer playing on console vs PC? Or does it depend on the game? I just moved over to PC in the fall from Xbox with a i7 and 4080 and honestly Im still having a hard time playing on PC full time. I guess I’m a creature of habit.. depending on the game.

I play 95% of my games on controller, so really I'll go wherever the game is. I own a Series X, PS5, and PC, so. Unless it's something I REALLY want to play that doesn't have controller support, I almost always play on controller and prefer the Series X one to all others in terms of sheer comfortable for long-term play, but the haptic feedback on the PS5 controller is dope as hell =P
