RENGOKU GOT ME CRYING!! - Demon Slayer Mugen Train Movie Reaction

REUPLOAD(Last one got taken down) - At long last the time is here. Today we're reacting to the movie Demon Slayer Mugen Train. Sorry for the delay. It took about 20 edits before it allowed me to post. This movie was insane. Starts out pretty tame. The boys get on the train and meet up with Rengoku. My boy Rengoku can put that food away like crazy. Rengoku lets Tanjiro know that he doesn't know anything about the Hinokami Kagura. Then things get a little spooky. The conductor of the train comes through to check all the tickets. Dude is acting like a zombie and is being weird. He punches the tickets and the light flickers. Rengoku quickly stands up and bam there's a demon. Rengoku jumps to action quickly dispatching this demon and one a few cars up. Light work for him. Everyone is happy, they all relax and think the day has been saved... So we go to the front of the train and the conductor was working for the twelve demon moon at the front. The tickets had blood demon art on them that caused the holder of the ticket to fall asleep when it was punched. So the whole crew was fast asleep. Not great news for them. Tanjiro is having a happy dream, reunited with his fam back on the mountain. Rengoku is getting scolded by his father and mentoring his lil bro. Zenitsu is prancing through the fields with Nezuko. Lastly, Inosuke is cave exploring with squirrel versions of his buds. Tanjiro keeps getting hints of his real life and thinks he's going crazy. It isn't until Nezuko sets him on fire for him to realize he's sleeping. He tries to find answers which just gets super sad. He then learns from his dad that he needs to cut something, specifically himself. So he does that... crazy! He learns of the people tied to them and all that. He goes up to the top of the train to fight the demon responsible while leaving Nezuko to wake the others. The demon on the top of the train then tells Tanjiro all the details of what he's doing. Tanjiro charges and the demon keeps trying to put him to sleep. But Tanjiro keeps charging which stresses out the demon dude. He's like "Why isn't he sleeping?" Well my boy Tanjiro was being put to sleep, he would just instantly realizing and ending it instantly. The will-power is insane. Tanjiro makes it through and slashes the demon. All seems good but the demon reveals his other secret, he's merged with the train and will eat all the passengers. Tanjiro stands no chance by himself, luckily the whole crew woke up now, minus Zenitsu. Rengoku tells Tanjiro and Insouke to find the neck and slash it while he will defend the back five cars. Zenitsu takes care of the other cars even though he's asleep. His subconcious is just so protective over Nezuko that it takes over. Tanjiro and Insouke take out the neck. Tanjiro gets stabbed in the side in the process and the train crashes. Rengoku checks on Tanjiro and tells him about the power of breathing. All seems calm and resloved. They beat the demon yay... Then a upper three demon moon shows up and just ruins everything. Rengoku and him start fighting and you can tell Rengoku is kinda worried. The demon keeps talking about the Hashira he's defeated and how he wants Rengoku to become a demon so they can fight each other forever. Rengoku wasn't about to do all that. They keep fighting and Rengoku keeps getting more messed up slowly. Then the demon deals a fatal blow right to the side. He pleads with Rengoku to become a demon again or he'll die. My boy Rengoku was like i may die but i'm gonna take you with me. The sun was coming up and Rengoku wouldn't let the demon get away. Sadly though the demon broke away at the last second. The boys chat with him for one last time. He tells Tanjiro to visit his family home for more answers and gets the confirmation from his mom that he fulfilled his duty. He saved everyone on the train!
One of the best anime movies i've seen. The emotion of the whole movie and the twist at the end was something truly spectacular. Also the fact that they made this whole movie as a Rengoku movie when everyone expected it to be about our normal main crew

It’s amazing how Rengoku made such an impact in just one showing (this movie). They made you fall in love with him and then ripped our hearts our by killing him. I advise skipping the TV version episodes of the Mugen Train arc… there are only a few minor changes in the animation (you probably won’t even notice there are differences), and there isn’t much new info. You should watch the first episode, which was an animation original prequel to the movie, and the little extras (like the Taisho Secrets) at the end of each episode for the TV versions. Then, move on to the Entertainment District arc.

I know! He quickly became one of my favorite characters behind Tanjiro and Nezuko. Sad to see him go. Honestly going back I probably would’ve done that but I’ve basically recorded most of the arc already lol. I have two episodes left and then I’ll be onto the entertainment district. The Taisho Secrets are cool but not much new has happened besides that. Just very minor changes. I’m gonna try to put up 2-3 of those this week just to kinda get them out and move to the next arc

the ninth form is called 'purgatory' which translate to rengoku in japanese. So he saying purgatory not his family name( rengoku).
