Hello Dr. Hartung. Thanks for another helpful video. Your excitation contraction video helped me so much during A&P1. Now i find myself watching your vids again to help with A&P2. Thanks again. You are an excellent teacher. Keep up the good work

Excellent video. Very helpful, and I'll be showing it to my class. One minor point is that the medical term for the male gonad is more properly "testis" rather than "testicle" isn't it?
@renhartung8 жыл бұрын
I think you are correct, although we still commonly use the term testicle the term testis is the correct term. I'll have to correct this when I update the video. Thanks.
great video! although you did forget to mention the seminal vesicle and seminiferous tubules.

Great video! but I had a question. . . can you see the cremaster muscle in this model?
@renhartung7 жыл бұрын
I think that the redish or pinkish line around the right testicle may represent the right cremaster on this model. Here is the basic information for cremaster muscles: Surrounding each testicle and spermatic cord, the cremaster muscles are made of a relatively thin layer of skeletal muscle, the major function of the cremaster muscles is to raise the testicles towards the body in order to help regulate testicular temperature. Sympathetic effect and the cremasteric reflex (elicited by firmly stroking the inner thigh) can also cause these muscles to contract -- the cremasters can also contract voluntarily when a male performs a Kegel type of contraction.
