The hilarious thing about this whole saga is the way Byakuya is built up as Ichigo’s main enemy, you’d think he was the most powerful captain when in reality, Yamamoto could easily solo Ichigo, his friends, and every single soul reaper present at once if he went all out. That’s also not even getting into the fact that Shunsui and Gin had bankais WAY deadlier than Byakuya’s. There’s also the fact that Aizen was still lurking about, Kenpachi hadn’t released his full potential (2 hands), and Unohana could wreck Kenpachi with zero effort.

I feel like Renji was still overwhelmed. I did like how he managed to bring Byakuya down to one knee, it is only because Byakuya was caught off guard and not used to his Bankai. It was new to him. Nonetheless, i will acknowledge his effort, but it was an impressive feat. Realistically, Byakuya didn’t need to use his Bankai he already had him subdued with his kido it was a wrap then. @Hexon666 I admit that Kenpachi is quite powerful. If he learned his shikai, the Royal Guard might promote him. However, should he reach Bankai level, he would theoretically be as powerful as Old Man Yama. Of course, if his power went up, he would require himself to wear more spirit energy sealing patches so that Yachiru can handle it. Also, as you know, the patch is for fighting purposes. When Old Man Yama used his normal spirit energy level, he nearly crushed Nanao(Squad 8 Lieutenant).
