Love seeing all you guys do in the shop. I turned wrenches for many years and have quite an appreciation for this.

In 1967 my grandfather bought a new 4020 with a M&W turbo on it. It was supposed to be 125 HP. Last fall I bought my own dyno and that was the first tractor I put on it. She put out a honest 126 without the extra foot throttle boost. I've read articles about the M&W dyno reading 2 percent high I think that's probably accurate from what I've seen.

Can't wait to see more. A 4230 has one draw back besides being a bear to start cold. The fuel tank is just too small. 37 gallons I believe. Really needs 10-15 more gallons capacity. Other than that. The BEST 100hp tractor you will ever find!!!?
@RennerStockFarms3 жыл бұрын
That's a good point, the tank is on the small side. All of our 4230s we rebuild are outfitted with high compression pistons to fix the starting problem. More is on the way!

Can't wait to see the 4230 with a new coat of paint. Spent tons of hours on a turned up 4230 ,a13' Lely Roterra and 13' JD grain drill. Probably bought from Grandpa Tom.

They are a treat to drive too! We have a couple of them and they are sweet and a little uncommon.

That's crazy 11k hrs and that clean! Must've been very well kept and serviced. There are MF guys around me in my Sw, MI area that run the 2000s, 1155s/1130s etc mostly V8 Perkins with 8-14k hrs.

Love the videos keep up the great work, just a suggestion but tell us what those plugs and stuff are as your taking them off if you have time, I’m sure you were annoyed with your dmv trip.

Never seen the dead blow on the exhaust bolt trick, I may have done some learnin thar.
@RennerStockFarms3 жыл бұрын
It seems to help a little, I guess it jars the threads and knocks some stuff loose. Only one exhaust bolt broke, I was shocked.

Makes a fella wonder how many hours that unit could deliver before a rebuild is needed. What is the most hours you've seen or heard of on a tractor?
@RennerStockFarms3 жыл бұрын
I had heard rumors of some 55 series tractors hitting 20,000 hours. Either its a rumor, or they had a very easy life!
