We Farm just west of that Big Muddy River from you guys. Last year I did a 1-acre test plot of mixing groundhog radish seeds in with the winter wheat seed. The results were quite noticeable. I did a few more Acres this year. You should give it a test run on a plot. Just saying. Benefits of groundhog radish. GroundHog radish produces a large amount of root & leaf mass, allowing up to 200 units of nitrogen per acre to be captured. Another major benefit of GroundHog Radish is that they decomposes quickly, leaving loose soils and better water and air infilatration to the soil. Growing up to 24" down into the ground and 4" round.

Nice transformation AND the landowner was tickled. You made me chuckle when you showed the buggy sitting next to the tractor with the disc behind it on the big field. I'm not laughing at you or what/how you're doing it, but the equipment is beautifully overkill for a 4, a 5, and an 11 ac field. Its the end of the day so I'm half brain-dead, and obviously kinda giddy, but I think the word to describe it is juxtaposition. It must've been a cool feeling to sign and control land under your name. What an awesome resource the knowledge, experience, know-how, and equipment that you have available and willing to back you up, guide, and help when desired.

Along those tree lines is going to be tough. Shade, hungry wild life, competition for water and fertility. Once you get past that, their will probably be a halo of high productivity, tapering off to average. I’m not sure how easy it is for you to adjust rates on the fly, but if looks like your working with some good equipment, I’m guessing you can.

Love seeing grandpa working. How many deer you have in that area? Lots of crop damage?
@RennerStockFarms3 жыл бұрын
Quite a few deer in this field, but this is our first crop here so we will see how bad the damage is.
