I have all of the modern day sims, rF2, AM2, RR, ACC, and I always go back to Assetto Corsa just because the FFB feels so great and online community is still massive, recently reaching its all time peak of over 15k players, whereas the others are mostly dead with just a few servers. I tried a 3 months subscription to iRacing and it honestly pales in comparison to AC for me so I didn't renew it either. Rennsport looks good but it's going to take a lot for it to draw players like me away from AC and its amazing modding community, but the more options we have as sim racers the better. AC2 due for spring release next year too

The cars look a bit floaty as well, as if they're not that connected to the road. Everyone seems thrilled about it, and as an AMS2 fan, I'm gonna whine a little bit and say I really wish people were as forgiving of that sim as they are of this one. I'm guessing if AMS2 was still in 'beta', it'd be given more of a pass, but it's got a ton going for it and Rennsport seems so incredibly far away from a complete sim with a halfway decent amount of content. We really don't even know how long it's going to take for them to have more than several GT3 cars and a handful of tracks available. It really feels like the exclusivity of it is really what's getting people excited, more so than what the sim will eventually be able to offer. Is it its potential that we're thrilled about? Because at the moment it seems like a lot of the eSporters who have actually competed with it seem to be way less excited about it than everyone else who hasn't played it or got their hands on the open beta is. Not that they've expressed hate for it, but is it doing or offering anything that other sims don't? Or are we excited simply because its a new sim and the more the merrier? I can understand the latter, but maybe I just don't know enough about what's planned for its immediate future to get as excited as everyone else is about it right now.

To be honest the cars look really bad going around the track. Not sure what it is, but they seem to just hover over everything. It feels too smooth, too fluid. Should be more shakey, bouncy and more rough imo. Interested to see how it feels driving, but doesn't look right that's for sure.

Wow, the physics look way better than on the initial demo where cars seemed to go sideways all the time. Guess they worked on it a lot? It looks like the weight transfer is way more pronounced than in ACC, which I honestly love, cuz in ACC it just feels like the car is gliding to the road surface and the grip code randomly decides how much you slide, without you feeling like the car is throwing it's weight around, nor that the aero is actually forcing that weight downwards, nor how the tires flex sideways. Hell, even Live for Speed delivers that feeling better, even if it's outdated in every other aspect. That being said, what's the point of yet another GT3 esports simulator with garbage campaign mode? If this was the 1.9 physics update to ACC that would actually be impressive, but sadly it's a separate game. The best Rennsport can hope to achieve is steal the GT World series spot from ACC, as Kunos is moving onto AC2 now, but even then, ACC just has so much more content.

If you selected manual, you would probably have to press the clutch when going from neutral to a gear and starting, while the rest of the shifts would be done by the car. This is the most realistic. I can't wait for this game, there isn't a modern sim that I really gel with, I have a live affair with ac but there's only many times I can race ai or do the nordschlief tourist with randoms, acc I don't enjoy driving that much, raceroom I love but I don't like the multilayer, I racing I can't justify the money for and the f1 games seem to get worse every year.
