I've been "boondocking" for 5 years running this controller. Works great! I don't know what some people expect for $30 but this does an excellent job. If you're someone who needs a read-out, get the one with the rs232 jack and get a blue tooth module BT-1

If you don't overload your system or connect batteries in parallel, this box is very flexible and the LED's tell you how everything is working. Thumbs up.

I have this model on a trailerable houseboat I recently purchased. Do you know if it's capable of receiving voltage from a generator to charge up the battery bank? I had a carport built for the houseboat so now the solar panels are not passively charging the batteries while the vessel is being stored.

I have this charge controller. Will this older renogy wanderer still charge lithium (lifepo4) batteries or do I need a upgraded version?

Great short review. This is the unit that comes with the Renogy 200w starter kit and was curious about this controller. Glad to see it has a temp sensor as well. Don't really care whether it has an LCD..what do you expect for a few bucks...

That's a 30amp input charge controller But what is the maximum out put amps to the batteries

I have mine over paneled with six 100w panels and the most amps Its put out has be 36 amps to batteries

I only see the 10 and 20 amp version with a screen, but not the 30

Good good product. No radio noise. LED's tell the story accurately. The box is very flexible and accurate.

Nobody should buy these pieces of crap! The first one I got worked for a little while charging a car battery then went berserk and quit, letting the battery go dead! I had actually purchased 2 of these pieces of crap so I took the other one out of the box and tried it but it's totally dead and doesn't do anything at all, the display never even comes on! How do these guys stay in business with this garbage?
